They are running races, lots n lots of races just for trackwork riders, yesterday in fact, on a Saturday at Turffontien, the whole days racing was trackwork riders...can you imagine doing that on a Saturday at Randwick or Flemington...??
Not only where there 8 races of trackwork riders, the whole day combined with Greyville was a disaster and forced viewers to watch premuim UK racing on replay up to 20 mins after the event. Why would people be interested in this rubbish let alone punt on it...again I see the track work riders are out at Kennilworth tonight...fair dinkum give us a spell. |

I watched on in amusement last night when a jockey weighed out with the wrong saddle, then 3 people led the horse up the straight towards the barriers, then attempted to re- saddle it with the horse leaping all over them. This went on for a while, then the jockey gets driven up to the horse and re-mounts - as he cantered off I saw the breastplate hanging unattached to the saddle and flapping around the horses shoulders!

This was typical of the whole day, another bolted on the way to the barriers and ran its race before it got there and was scratched...fair dinkum it was completely embarassing watching those clowns re saddle that horse with the blinkers on and it leaping all over them...just appalling racing and constant delays make it unwatchable. |

Can't understand why they canter to the barriers without their feet in irons. How do you stop the horse if it gets running? Would never get away with that here.

Thats exactly why it bolted...they do it all the time over there, and their riding style is awkward and weird looking, isn't waving the whip in front of a horse's eyes illegal here ? Certainly isn't there.. |

Hawaam, a 3yo colt by Silvano - Halfway To Heaven, by Jet Master, has put a gap in them in the G1 Premier's Champions Challenge. He is owned by Sheik Hamdan. After the race, the caller was claiming he is the best horse South Africa has seen in a long time! |

Hawwaam has added the G1 Daily News 2000 to his list of victories. Another easy win although Twist Of Fate probably got within two lengths of him at the finish with a big gap back to third. |

.... and Do It Again (4g Twice Over - Sweet Virginia, by Casey Tibbs) does it again, winning the Durban July, just as he did in 2018. |

Hawwaam is racing very well again this preparation. He just won the G1 Premier's Champions Challenge by a big margin after also saluting in the G1 Horse Chestnut Stakes 3 weeks ago. |
