The Japanese handicapper gave 129. They are the ones that downgrade them.

The colonies and the 'foreigners' pander and toe the line to appease the masters.

Not really. Our horses are well and truly overly and wrongly rated. Greg Carpenter punches above his weight at these shindigs.

Here is confirmation of the joke that is the international ratings. Lys Gracieux for devastatingly winning the arima kinen rates the same as Baataash for winning the nunthorpe.

Hello,
interestingly 3 of the Starters of thze "Japanese Derby" have a German Connection, see
Weltreisende (Dream Journey)-Mandela (Acatenango)-Mandellicht.
the Family of "Manduro"
Salios (Heart Cry)-Salomina(Lomitas)-Saldentigerin (Tiger Hill)
Family of "Schwarzgold", already represented in Japan by "Manhattan Cafe".
Valcos (Novellist)-Land's Edge (Dance in the Dark)-Wind in her Hair.
Novellist was a Top Race Horse in my Country and the Granddam won in Germany the Group 1, "Aral Pokal" (2400 meter).

As I see Weltreisende was Third and Salios second in the Japanese Derby.

regards, Ticino

Shrunk in the Wash, above, maybe tongue in check but by now Carbine's usually there closer to 50 times.  Well that's what happened with the Cox Plate winner.  To be honest I haven't checked the above pedigree!

Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

The G1 Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) has been won by Shahryar  (3c  Deep Impact - Dubai Majesty, by Essence Of Dubai) who finished strongly to just overhaul the favourite, Efforia.

The winner is a full brother to dual G1 winner, Al Ain.
