Off to the paddock irrespective and just hope no throat surgery is necessary.

Sounds very painful, hope you are up and at em asap GAJ.
Bad luck SC, doesn’t sound very pleasant for the mare, good that she’s spelling, don’t want her to learn to dislike the race day experience.
Our 3 yr old Deep Field is about to go back into work. Had a jumpout but no starts yet, we are letting the trainer bring her along slowly. Just sacked her Excelebration sister, gorgeous horse in looks and temperament, now have to find her a lovely permanent home. Only 15.2 and not enough fire in her blood Big smile
This ones bigger and more excitable Thumbs Up

Diamond Hands makes his metropolitan debut at Rosehill this afternoon in Race 3. Definitely a step up in grade but have been really happy with both runs this time in off a long spell and should be ready to peak third up. Here's hoping!

Yep, best of luck Robbo.

We have Black Fantasy running in the Belmont Classic in Perth today.  The last 200m might be an ask, particularly if something pesters us throughout, but with any luck we should be in with a real chance again.

I second that.  Good old Blackfriars still getting feature race winners.  Black Fantasy must be from his final crop ?

Nothing like big-noting:  Embarrassed
Black Fantasy scores feature double in Belmont Classic for jockey Lucy Warwick and trainers Dan and Ben Pearce

Black Fantasy held off a late surge from Flower In The Wind to claim the second leg of a feature double in the Listed Belmont Classic (2200m) on Saturday.

Starting a popular $2.45 favourite, Black Fantasy cruised to the lead at the top of the straight for jockey Lucy Warwick and looked set for a comfortable victory.  Flower In The Wind ($7.50), one of several hard-luck stories in the Belmont Oaks (2000m) a fortnight earlier, launched a powerful run from last to lay down a serious challenge to Black Fantasy.  However, the Dan and Ben Pearce-trained gelding lifted in the final 100m to stave off Flower In The Wind by three-quarters of a length. Tizzle Top ($34) was five lengths behind in third.

Black Fantasy was placed in multiple three-year-old features before breaking through in the Aquanita Stakes (2000m) and Belmont Classic.  “It’s a relief,” Dan Pearce said.  “Last preparation he ran third in the Magic Millions over 1200 first-up and then ran third in the Derby. “To be able to do that shows you’re a pretty serious horse.  “I think he’ll have a decent spell now and come in at the back end of the Ascot carnival.”

Warwick was full of confidence when Black Fantasy had a perfect run in third position.  “The leader (God’s Fury) actually set a nice tempo and we got to have a breather, a bit of cover and he showed a really good turn of foot this time,” Warwick said.  “When the stablemate (Outspoken Lad) took off he went with it and had a lot more spring in his step this time.”

A $36,000 yearling sale buy, Black Fantasy boosted his record to three wins and eight placings from 13 starts and $359,400 in prizemoney and bonuses.

Am rather disappointed that Black Fantasy is going around again in Race 1 at Belmont on Saturday.  Ok he will be competitive and may well win, however the Belmont Classic was always going to be his Grand Final.

Don't know how many times going to the well for one last run has proven one too many and stuffed up a horse's future.

Well how wrong can you be!  They let him walk in front and he wins untouched by 6 lengths.  Clap

Went off the boil, the old Swagger, thought he must have been sore somewhere they couldn’t find. But he’s back! One of our mates in him too

The 3yo Bold Street debuts for us in Race 6, an open age maiden at York in WA.  Has had her problems including a soft palate operation and several self-induced paddock/yard leg injuries.

1200m appears a difficult task on debut and not confident about being proven wrong.  But like all owners we live in hope.
