Diamond Hands resume off 39 weeks in the last today at Gosford - first up off a bone chip operation. Been given no favours by the barrier gods but is apparently well and ready to be competitive.

Black Fantasy in the Aquanita Stakes R4 at Belmont.  Should certainly run a place and has a good chance of winning.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.  Thumbs Up

We're very proud of the young fellow, and hugely relieved given he's been four times stakes-placed before and really needed to succeed today to prove he's a winner.

ps have already had a couple and the other half has declined to go down the shops for some bubbly.  Shocked  Cry

Terrible news, and our thoughts and best wishes go out to Leah.

Wondering how Rahaan might go appears somewhat unimportant now.

Leah was air lifted and taken to PA Hospital in Brisbane, I think it was about two hours before they slowly put her on the Chopper.
Another horse ran over her after her mount dislodged her and made contact it seems, but word has it that the injury was from the impact of the fall.
Praying she will will be OK, such a sweet girl and very good jockey.
All of the female jockeys stood down from their rides post accident out of respect but as it happened the rest of the meeting was postponed.

Thanks AA, No personally I was tending to my horse but my partner saw it just after it happened, enough to see it on the replay but thankfully wasn't long, just have to see what is all over the news, I trust the stewards vision will tell the whole story. My Jockey to be was on a horse coming from behind and the fall was in his path, so it shook him up.
It was one of our fellow trainers at Ballina who owned the young horse, it had a bad break which is very distressing to see in front of the grandstand let alone one of Grafton's darlings (leah) laying motionless. Leah who grew up around Grafton with her extended racing family is very much loved by all there.
She rode our Mare I'll Miss you a few times and won on her twice, she loved our Missy.
'
I think this being the who owns horses thread may be the wrong place for Leah's accident, so maybe Gay may like to make a new thread just for Leah, hoping enough people will send her prayers or good thoughts.
Hubby sent her picture to the local Carmelite Order at Goonelabah and the nuns all prayed for her. last night.

Just home from Grafton with Rahaan, she came third today and toughed it out in the H10 going, proud of the girl. The races were called off after that as the rain kept coming.

Gutsy performance GAJ.  And a result for my $5 win/$15 place was never in doubt.  Wink

We have Frosty Lass going around in Race 3 at Cranbourne tomorrow.  Clearly has ability but still learning to join the chase when required.  At or near the end of her first prep so a win would be great.

Good luck Today SC, I hope you are feeling better now? See you had a return is always uplifting!

I had a bad accident on concrete at work yesterday and fell on my bad knee, off to Lismore base in an ambulance and home last night in a brace and crutches with a broken patella, so I am having to send three of ours to a local trainer and he will take Rahaan to Grafton next week. I was looking forward to it so much, I love the carnival. Oh well at least all my pins and plates remained in the right place!
