Where is everyone? No schedule, no-one psyched. What, everyone still asleep from the kriket?

C'mon brudders and sistahs.

FYI all, I will be doing an Autumn Cup along the same lines as the Spring Cup, it'll be roughly the same format as in the Spring but the exact model I'll post after the Orr Stakes this weekend when I have all the names in.  Because I literally sort the Pools in alphabetical order, so I need everyones names to make it happen.

Couple of questions, did everyone like the SP without Prize Money element that I tried in the Spring? Or should I just go back to the traditional SP format and only use the without part for the Autumn Cup?  Happy if any want to just put their answers at the bottom of their tips as I only need the answer for when compiling the results.

Afros I preferred the traditional way, with prizemoney.

I’m in for the comps as per usual. The pinnacle of my retirement will be winning one! LOL

Afros, my vote is for the OG prize money format for the SP comp, plus the Cup Tournament (without prize money) if you’re prepared to put in the work - it was a lot of fun having groups, progressing through rounds and the final match-ups Thumbs Up

I am in. Have no idea how these comp's work but better than gambling real money and still get a thrill if I happen to fluke a winner

Woohoo whale!

Furious will be thrilled to see the turn out; all the organisers put so much effort into the comps.

And don’t worry, most of us don’t really get how the comps work - some just throw wild darts or blindly stab with pins. But it’s a lot of fun and great company Embarrassed

Afros, with VSP. Tradioanl with prize money.

And welcome Nick and Whale to the best comp on TBV, if I do say so myself! Big smile

For every Group 1 race pick your:

a. winner:  3 points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively

b. best roughie: placing x prizemoney 1st to 4th

c. SP: starting price (off the Racing Australia results) x prize money, divided by the placing.

Subject to a better description for the SP comp.

SC? Wasn’t there some rule about newcomers paying $50 to existing competitors, then when you become a regular, the new entrants pay you?

A bit like that aeroplane “game” back in the eighties.

If I’m wrong, I want my $50 back!!

The roughies/longshot ones that Dizzy & Afros run will suit your style perfectly e.g. 1st - 4th qualify; money earned x SP from RA website. A big priced winner of a $million can or almost top the ladder. Individual choices per each comp.

Yes nick.  Only replacements after you put your picks in are for the scratched ones.  Makes it a scramble if they get scratched at the post so a sub isn't a bad idea.  Good luck and welcome.
