To me R5 No 6 Pontmerion looks a bit short in its action in the mounting yard at Ballarat today.

Will probably come out and brain them.

Has TB resigned? Thank God! The last year or so I've literally had to turn off the volume and follow the horses' colours myself. Good on him if he realized he was past it. I can't imagine him agreeing to be sent to the paddock.

Wangaratta tomorrow and am on Jake Duffy.

Corporate made a mistake and quickly accepted the $16/3.20 about Rentissis in Race 2.

And will likely have a number of all ups after final scratchings, ie:

R2 No 5 up R4 No 10
R2 No 5 all up R4 No 10 all up R8 No 2.
R2 No 5 all up R8 No 2
R4 No 10 all up R8 no 2.

May the force be with me. Tongue

Good luck SC.

The trainer of a couple of those picked up the dinner tab for about 5 of us a week or so ago. He has a 2yo filly of ours (as you are aware).

Hope he does well.

Mistake?!!! $16?!!! It’s currently a $2.40 favourite 😀👏👏

You look at race 1 at Gosford today and you see everything that is wrong with Australian trainers and them developing stayers.

Saturday’s Victorian provincial race meeting has been transferred to Warracknabeal.

A track inspection conducted by Racing Victoria stewards on Friday afternoon found the Donald surface to be unsuitable for the meeting to go ahead with more rain forecast.

Racing Victoria subsequently made the call to transfer the nine-race card from Donald to Warracknabeal.

The Warracknabeal track is rated a Heavy 8 and some distance amendments have been made.

Stuff it, beaten in the last stride in the final leg when landing the quad seemed likely.  Cry  Series of 8 e/w bets just for an interest returned two winners, three 2nds and a 3rd.

A modest win on the day but rather more a matter of what could have been.

Good program at Sandown today.

I’ll have a few bets

R7 No 5 Almairac

Have a high opinion of this Cliff Brown trained horse.  Was finishing nicely last time over 2000m at Caulfield Saturday meeting a few weeks ago.  Down in grade and up in trip should both be in his favour, so I’ll go each way

R8 No 2 Sir Atlas

Career has been either interrupted by injury or mismanaged (not sure which), but 1800m in the open spaces at Sandown looks like a good 2nd up assignment.
