I thought I was the only one & because of that, kept thinking 'well they must be right' but my faith is now restored in my English classroom grammar lessons
 I could never rationalise how people tell the difference between 'it is' & 'belonging to' when both were spelt identically i.e. it's  Good observation Freefall
