No idea on the Prince but is currently in foal to I Am Invincible. Also has a Snitzel and a More Than Ready out there somewhere to my knowledge.
Yo Mama's so nasty, I talked to her over the computer and she gave me a virus.

Anybody now the ownership situation with Black Caviar ?

Her first 3 foals seemed to have been bred by the racing group. - bred by Mr NJR Werrett, Mrs P A Hawkes, Mr & Mrs C H Madden, Mr & Mrs D M Taylor, Mr & Mrs G J Wilkie, NSW

Her 4th foal was bred by Mr Wilkie

Her next two were bred by Werrett.

I got it right this time.

Champion mare Black Caviar has foaled down a filly by champion sire Written Tycoon.

One of Black Caviar’s part-owners Pam Hawkes confirmed that the 15-time Group 1 winner had given birth to a bay filly in mid-November and reported both mare and foal are in good health.

NBlack Caviar has produced seven foals since retiring from the racing in 2013, those being five fillies and two colts.

There have been four to race with Oscietra, Prince Of Caviar and Invincible Caviar the only ones to have won races.

Black Caviar also has a two-year-old colt by I Am Invincible out of Black Caviar has been named I Am Caviar.

I personally love this The Autumn Sun mating based on its' obvious, well renowned influences [Nijinsky x2; Silly Season x3; Lunchtime x2] & their positioning but would value the input of our far more knowledgeable & experienced members Smile

I love the mating, but like all her other foals, has come out very weedy looking.

Weedy just means, she doesnt seem to put the goods into the foals while in utero. They always look over cooked, compared to other foals.
I would estimate that the foal probably wouldnt weight much more than 50-55kgs, which seems a lot, and pretty much an average weight for ok foals, but your nice foals, will weigh roughly 60kgs and just look filled out, even at birth.

Doesnt mean they cannot be a champion or a winner, just means they have a harder start at life compared to others.

There's a lot of elegant linebreeding, but I am looking at the recent production from this family and wondering if what the family wants is something very different.

Magnus is by Flying Spur and All Too Hard is by Casino Prince.

Hanseatic's grandsire Street Cry has Mr. Prospector over a mare with Riverman (by Never Bend) up close.  Street Boss' dam is by Ogygian, by Damascus.

Ole Kirk is by Written Tycoon, grandson of Last Tycoon. Written Tycoon's grandsire Last Tycoon is out of a Mill Reef (by Never Bend) mare.

Meanwhile, Black Caviar has visited Exceed and Excel and Snitzel for not much, More Than Ready for not much, Sebring for a horse who had some talent but was a roarer, and Vinny (Green Desert line) for a metro winning filly and what looks like he could be a useful enough provincial handicap gelding.

I like the Written Tycoon pairing for Prince of Caviar, and hopefully he runs as well as Ole Kirk.  But The Autumn Sun is more of what didn't work--Danehill other than Flying Spur--and none of what has worked so far.

The cross of Flying Spur to this family has three stakes winners, including one champion, a very good runner and good stallion, and a stakes-winning filly who unfortunately died young.  Like I said earlier, Prince of Caviar obviously had some ability but it's hard to run when you can't breathe.  For commercially-useful horses in the Hunter, Pierata and Home Affairs have Flying Spur as their broodmare sire.  Pierata has extra Never Bend and Sir Ivor via Lonhro, and Home Affairs is by I Am Invincible (more Never Bend/Sir Ivor) and is tail-female to and linebred to Fanfreluche.

Other good stallions that appeal, and aren't more-of-the-same, are Street Boss and Anamoe, Jacquinot for Rolls via Encosta + Never Bend & Sir Ivor via Pierro, Harry Angel for the lines to Machiavellian and Ciboulette, Blue Point for Storm Cat and Never Bend via Shamardal, or Palace Pier (if he shuttles again) for Green Desert, Dancing Brave, and Ciboulette.

Many thanks KM Thumbs Up it goes to show how much historical data needs to be known & applied. Pedigree charts being only a part of the puzzle vs. the B all & end all Smile

And of course it sometimes pays to forget influences for a moment and simply look to add some genuine grunt.  Something that's been notably absent in her matings thus far.

It is a shame she has passed away, they were just starting to figure out what went well with her. Even Invincible Caviar probably was a stakes sprinter in waiting before her untimely death. Hopefully this Written Tycoon Filly continues to look as good as she did in her first start and can get to stakes level. As you've all discussed, a lot of precedence with Ole Kirk.
