Well i've run out of superlatives after that 4-peat GF win last night

I'd give it a crack if I actually knew what a "superlative" actually was LOL

We would have to be a fair chance for another ?

I mean Nathan is still a young man - Yeo is still improving - Dylan is a marvel Clap

So at the season start i predicted this would be our easiest year to add another title - the pressure was off - with all the haters saying we had lost too much firepower.

Think it will get harder now

That 3 million will depreciate to 1 million very quickly after a few games with your mob PT

Teams like Panthers & Storm take unknowns & add value.

The chooks do the opposite !

Really? I read that 10 of the Rooster Prelim final team were Rooster juniors. I would think that a pretty good ratio...except for Wests who love wooden spoons

Fortunately for them their idealism about juniors has been thrown out the window for next year. Reflected in the 2025 betting.

I'd love to see Benji do well.

In any case, if he doesn't he can always get a gig with the Broncos.

Not sure Madges approach of belting players into line will work with a team of big heads like the Broncos.
 - half a season max maybe

Haas , Walsh , Staggs....i don't think so !

Wests sacked him after 4 years of going further backwards. The bloke walked out on NZ and now NSW.

Broncos will regret this change which is hardly a step forward.

Tigers won't make the 8 next season, best we can hope for is an improvement on the last few years, win say 10 games and at least be in the conversation of being a dark horse finals side mid-season, Luai and Turuva are both good players but I think the forward pack is either washed up (Bateman, Klemmer) or still a season or two off their peak, Royce Hunt may prove to be a good signing but he needs some help, RCG would have been a good get.

I think next season will be the biggest test of the Panthers next man up system, they'll fill Luai's spot OK, be it Schneider, Laurie, Cole or another kid, they'll also cover for Turuva no worries but Fisher-Harris is a big loss, he's a leader within that side and the Alpha male of the pack, the challenge is for one of those other props to step into that role.  It's tough to say they can't do it but so far they've only had to replace outside backs and hard working forwards, plus Kikau who is more a luxary player than a key player for mine plus Api who everyone already knew they had cover for him learning under him before he left, to me Luai will be like replacing Api, however they've not had to replace a genuine alpha and leader of the pack so far.

Rothfield said that Walker’s new deal will run until the end of 2027 and the added years will be worth $1 million a season.

“It will be announced either this week and next week before other clubs can get to him, not that they haven’t anyway and expressed some sort of interest,” Rothfield said.

“It’s a good contract, it’s two years, it’s a million dollars a year.

TAB are generous ba$tards 😀

$41 for the Tigers to win the comp…should be that price to make the 8 😂😂

However, any time I have a decent win on the ponies I siphon off a bit to have on them to make the 8.

I’m a bit like a recovering alcoholic in that regard lol.

I like the changes made so far Freefall. I think each of them strengthens a position. This year they put in some solid efforts running up 5 tries against Melbourne, 6 against Many and beating a couple of top 8 contenders. They just looked like inexperience and exuberance got them nice wins but also cost them some games. A couple of experienced older heads in Luai and Bird and some aggression in the pack with Royce can see them pick up the extra 6 wins

.Will Turuva play fullback and Luai half? Skelton could be a good buy, a tall fast center.

PT, thanks for the encouragement lol.

Luai has to be in the halves I reckon - needs the ball in his hands.

On my reading you have 3 5/8s including the boom kid but no half.

Luai can play half - no problem there.

Not sure what you have paid for Bird - would not want to be much. Massive underachiever since his early boom years at Cronulla years ago. If he cements a position in the team they will be qat the arse end of the table again imo.

Turuvu is a very good pick-up - been waiting all season to see him have a bad game & he just got better.

Very few outside backs with his all round ability.
