Good idea to have a thread to let members get their predictions out there.

Probably best to keep them short-term - unless we give authority to TJ Mitchel to monitor outcomes when we have been transponded to outer galaxies (some would only be returning home anyway)

Here we go ;

Prediction 1

Sydney - by Monday Warragamba will either be spilling again of very close to it

Media will be AGAIN all over increasing the dam height & hoping like hell a squillion poor souls get flooded . This will allow then to report live in their gumboots & umbrella for better effect.

Tim Flannery will be under his bed

My predictions: this thread will end up in the laundry basket.

Tutu will then start another puerile thread, just to let us know he's still around.

Facing 4 games if he pleads guilty, 5 if he challenges and loses, fair chance that call will be proved correct within days.

Any chance Uncle Nick gets origin 2 included in his suspension?

To say he was falling before the tackle, as a defence for Sua'ali'i, is a joke.  It was an illegal shoulder charge to begin with.

I saw something earlier that suggested the Liam Martins great tackle in the second half (I forgot on who) saw the tackled player drop more than Walsh did in the Sua'ali'i tackle, basically suggesting that it was technique, not Walsh dropping, that caused the problem.

Walsh was clearly hit with force in the head. Almost fell off. Totally illegal

Martin hit in the torso like a torpedo. Totally legal

Thats the point.

Martins was a perfect tackle, Sua'ali'is was just poor technique.  Sua'ali'i stands 19cm taller than Reece Walsh, he needs to learn to bend his back if he wants to rattle men of that height.  He'll struggle in Union if he doesn't change.

And Walsh needs to Not get his waltz's mixed up with his foxtrot when changed legs , that way he won't be falling when tackled , he" ll be upright , he won't last , can't protect himself and is too brittle .

The attacking player is the vulnerable one, Carioca, not the defender.

Unlike AFL, you can tackle all the way from shoulder to ankle. But any defender aiming for the chest must be conscious that attacking players can sidestep or even dip...neither is illegal.

But ALL shoulder charges are illegal. Sua'ali'i went in with his shoulder, not caring where he hit Walsh.

The tackle is indefensible. Deserves a minimum four weeks.

 Full stop.

2 things here imo , 1 if he doesn't slip 😂 yeah IF your Aunty had balls Embarrassed 2 Wash would have seen this bloke lining him up , so instead of throwing a " no look pass to his very copetitive winger " he turned his head with the pass ( a bloody hospital pass ! ) right at the point of impact , we'll fool him ! gets no symphathy from me , golden rule , Vic Patrick , protect yourself at all times .

It is Rugby League, not boxing, Carioca. Get your head into the present. Not sixty years ago. Ermm

Why do people think playing a contact sport is a licence to commit assault?

I'd rather be a drama queen than see a player laid out like that.

What the hell has Walsh's attitude got to do with being flattened by an illegal tackle?

By your reasoning, big-heads like Mitchell should never be protected...

So glad you do not make or enforce the rules, you old fossil...
