You know it struck me recently that there is a wealth of knowledge here, there might not be many people active here lately but if we put our minds to it I wonder if we couldn't leave our differences aside and work together as a small team and make some money. Punting yes, what else would it be.

I saw a doco recently on these people who were clued into this one guy on Reddit who was putting out info about a digital currency and small select band of people were in the loop, they worked together  purely to make money. They made a lot of money, they kept it low key and kept each other informed at all times.

Why can't we do something similar here ? this small band of people here, can we make something like that work here ? no one is looking or bothering us down here in the sports section, we should be quietly working together to form a punting firm that we share info between ourselves and make a quid.? all info could be messaged between ourselves for confidentiality etc..

is it possible or not ?  it should be surely ? Start of small and work up to something extra large, no rush no fuss, no bragging or sharing outside of the group.

If it is, and we can make some decent coin, I will make an effort to go to one of OneOnes get togethers.

Smile

LOLLOLLOL

What? You reckon Bob might give up some secrets? Ermm

I don't bet these days, but when I did I had a profit ratio of 270%. Recorded profit. Kept my kids clothed and fed and had lots of holidays.

People used to hound me for tips. I found that the moment I shared too much information, the less was my profit. I bet best, alone.

I keep thinking I'll go back to it...it was certainly fun...but my life has gone in a different direction the last ten years and punting seems too much of a waste of time, now.

Others might join in...but I doubt it.

If TJ's in and JJ's out, I'm willing to have some fun.

You tips moved the market?

Cmon, try and keep it realistic…..

Back in the good ol days, before Internet and sms, the old mans mate was a well regarded tipster .
He’d literally field over 100 calls on a Saturday morning, all of them betting in the ‘000s.
That didn’t move the market.

All my betting is done in the last 5 minutes before a race o the TAB. As I bet on very small TAB daily double pools on remote meetings any extra money invested would cruel my dividend . Most punters clubs have always relied on the honesty of all members and in the case of one here on TBV it appears no one has ever meet other members. is that a red light ?

I’m happy to be part of a syndicate Fiddler . Just not sure what value I will add. Great idea  - but fundamentally flawed I think. Don’t think any one of us is likely to turn a profit over 12 months. So by putting us all together I don’t think anything will change 😂

There may be some merit if we are extremely patient & wait for opportunities when one of us gets some genuine inside info - which I do very rarely - putting the odds in my favour. I also spot the occasional overs early on both racing & sport - but you need to react immediately to that & can’t wait to discuss with others . The errors more so  - which do happen more often than you think. So need a few eagle eyes. I actually do get info off a Corporate trader when he see’s the odd overs in his competitors pricing.

As a syndicate a lot of trust is required - allowing bets to be made as opportunities arise. Could get nasty

But worth discussion.

yup wet fart as I suspected. I don't even hardly bet anymore, and only sports, but would have maybe started up if there was interest.

It's actually a negative & positive so, either you don't or you do Confused
Perhaps rarely solves the problem? LOL

Bob is right. 'Hardly' is a negative, as is 'don't'.

I never said my tips moved the market. I was saying that whenever I gave people tips my luck was halved.

So...I started giving the moochers my second best tips... and told them to back e/w...

rarely whatever f f s I don't bet much anymore but would liven up if we had a small syndicate where good things were shared among each other, not punting club, just shared knowledge to do with as you please. But not just a swag of tips like u see here, one good thing every other week or month doesn't matter, just a solid chance.
