I no longer wish to be a member of Thoroughbred Village forums but I have searched the FAQ and cannot find any information on how to unsubscribe or remove myself from the members list.  I know that members can be removed from the member list as several prolific forum members who misbehaved have been removed.

I would like to be removed from the membership.  Is that possible ?  Or it like the Hotel California : I can check out anytime I like but I can never leave ?

Or do I need to post a series of pornographic images in order to be removed from the membership list ?

(Note :  Don't take this personally.  I am removing myself from all social media - or trying to.)

Maybe get the mods to "ban" you for a few months while you have the social media cleanse. That way you can always come back under the old account if you feel you want to.

Generally I wouldn’t care either way whether someone participates or not but on this occasion I think it would be a shame if you left Tontonan. Maybe just take some time off. My experience is it will do the you good. I didn’t bother even looking at this forum for close to 10 months and it was a refreshing experience. Gives some perspective and a reminder that there is much more to life than TBV.

I respect your input into these forums but seriously if you want to take a break from them than just stop visiting, it's that simple really, holding an account carries no minimum visit requirements, this feels more like a typical look at me Facebook post for mine.

What’s the difference? Just log off and never return. You do realise that you’re not obliged to post here right? There are no penalties for being a member but not posting. There will not be a police officer come to your door demanding to know why you no longer visit TBV. 

And how would having your account deleted somehow stop you from posting again in the future anyway? People return under a new screen name all the time. We have one guy do exactly that just recently.

Having your account deactivated will not do that. Your history is on the internet to stay. 

Just click the little cross at the top right of the screen and never return to the forum. Block the website on your browser if staying away is so difficult.
