Hello,
a German Breeder (Ittlingen Stud) had an unusul Idea.

He asked in an article in our Thorougbredbreeder magazine "Vollblut" and the Racing Paper "Sportwelt", who would be the best mating for his Top race mare and now broodmare.
Everyone who is interested in breeding (amateur/professional) can send in his/her recommendations.

The race mare is India (Adlerflug - Ivory Coast by Peintere Celebre), foaled  2018.
She raced from 3 - 5 years, over distances from 1800 - 2400 meter, from Listed to Gr. 1 level,
18 starts: 8 wins, 5 seconds, 3 thirds

I have made up my mind, which Sire/s I would choose in Europe.
On the other hand I think it could be interesting what you think from an Australian perspektive
would be the best choice.

regards, Ticino

Don't quite know Ticino.

Maybe a Galileo stallion to bring in Lombard top and bottom, or seek to find a sire that has Nureyev and/or The Minstrel in his makeup.

Please tell us what you think and we can express an opinion about your choice.

Sea The Stars has a SW from an Adlerflug Mare racing in oz. being River Of Stars, Siyouni would add a tad more speed, something with  Shirley Heights to double up on or a tad of Darshaan / Mill Reef as well maybe not thru SH  might go well too plenty options, Hello Youmzain is in nz but shuttles i think, Japan if in Germany still and doin ok may also be a chance, hard to find something to put the speed into her pedigree, which needs a bit more of . We did have Sire in oz from the USA called Artie Schiller, which seems to match her pretty good, being from the same fam as India, 13-c, so something from that family  may do the trick

Have done more research and believe the sire Ribchester would be a standout match for India.  Unfortunately he's only a middle ranking sire so you might pass with him.  Nureyev and The Minstrel would appear 4,5 x 4 and 5 x 4 respectively and Shirley heights 5 x 5.  Lovely balanced pedigree there.

It's a pity Ribchester's sire Iffraaj is old and out of service, because a match with him would be simply brilliant.

And a greater pity is the fact (imo) that the deceased Wootton Bassett would have been a marvellous match also.  But all's not lost: his son Almanzor would arguably suit India also, if to a lesser extent.

Hello,
many thanks for your thoughts about a good match for "India"

Here are my recommandations:
Accon (Camelot - Anaita by Dubawi) Fam. 9-h Alveole
4x4 Sadlers + 4x6 Nureyev 3/4 relatives
5x5x5x5x6 ND
5x6 Shirley Heights
linebred to "Sunbittern" via Dubawi/In the Wings
Accon is from the "Alveole" Family, but via a different strain.
His Sire "Camelot" traces to Kincsem, the unbeaten "Hungarian Mare"
The damline of 'India' is a very wellknown American Family tracing to "Natashka".
India 3x4 Sadlers Wells/Nureyev 3/4 relatives, 5x5x5x6 ND

Windstoss/India:
4x4 The Minstrel
5x5x5x5x6 ND
Windstoss is from the Kincsem damline via Winnica (taprootmare in Germany)
He is more linbred/inbred 3x3 Königstuhl, 5x5x5 Tamerlane, 5x5 Authi (3x4 Feola)
His damsire is "Sternkönig" (family of Star Appeal) in the Sireline tracing to Kalamoun 3x3 Nasrullah/Rivaz FB/FS

Tünnes/India:
4x5x5 Allegretta/Alya FS
4x5 The Minstrel
5x5x5x6x6x6 ND
Tünnes is a HB of "Torquator Tasso". Tünnes is 3x3 to Turbaine, sounds familiar for you.
5x5x5 Sharpen Up, 5x6 Surumu, 5x5 ND
His Sire Guiliani is in his damline 5times linebred to Feola
He a first Season Sire.

Hope you find my "hypo matings" of interest.

kind regards from Germany.
Ticino
P.S.: Japan still stands in my home country.
