PL must be a svelte, super fit and healthy specimen judging by his diet LOL

I on the other hand have a sweet tooth, salt on everything, and like white bread.

Would anyone like a slice of homemade banana, date and pecan cake before the big race? Big smile

The good news: They've finally made a toaster which won't burn the toast - the Breville Eye Q. The bad news: it's $469 for the two slice model, the 850.Ouch $600+ for the four slice one.

Pure art.

Love his kitchen it's so easy to clean and work in, he uses all the proper cookware and utensils, must be nice to have all that in place before you even start. My kitchen work space is about the size of a large chopping board and that's it. So many times I have to place pots and pans on my bed just to make space.

I'm wondering if any resident cooking experts can describe the unique dish I invented today using pantry leftovers and drumsticks on special.

Brown 9 chicken drumsticks, set aside. Soften sliced onions (one white and one red) in same pot. Add 4 minced garlic cloves. Throw in some brown sugar and water to caramelise. Add teaspoons of paprika and Keens Curry. Chuck in a combo of leftover white wine and red wine vinegar to deglaze. Chicken back in, stir to coat with "sauce." Sprinkle with flour. Stir. Throw in 6 quartered potatoes, 6 bay leaves, dash of dried thyme, litre of beef stock. Bring to boil, then simmer for 2 hours...

Come back. Break up potatoes to thicken it because it's still a soup. Add Worcester and soy sauce and lots of pepper. Simmer for another 2 hours. Remove chicken bones and stir into a sludge. Turn off stove and add a wallop of butter. Rest for 1 hour.

Just tasted it. Fantastic!
