Has only beaten walkers to date Take2, but certainly two nice wins on the trot over 1850 and 2000 following his 2nd over 1400 on debut.

Wonder why the connections of the one that beat him didn't step up in distance at his next start also?  Surely they will next time around.  Wink

Drawn awful but should settle back in any event, hopefully with cover.  Any luck in the run and he'll surely be the one to beat.

Yep, awful.  Settled 2nd and 3rd last and finished dead last.  Never passed a horse at any stage of the race which is almost too bad to be true. Surely an issue?

Lindsay on RSN, he's as bad a case of shin sore as he's ever had, so bute today & out on Monday. He's been checking him daily but as he said, untill they hit the ground at race pace, you don't know.

wonder if all the track drainage they do nowadays has anything to do with hard tracks

Lindsay did say the horse is built like a real athlete but that he has little bone, likening the 'under carriage' to his own 'chicken legs' LOL However, he also said with conviction, the horse will win many good class races.

Due to return to the track tomorrow in the last at Geelong over 1530m.

Look forward to seeing what he can achieve in his 2nd campaign.

Last to first in a dominant if narrowish win.  Believe $4.50 was readily available.

Ripper of a win against a fairly average bunch.
Certainly wouldn’t take a short price in town next start

Good day for the Smith/Spicer/Sea The Stars 4yo's.
Rudhyar also impressed (albeit in the best part of the track)
Expect to see both in town next time.

Have backed both he and Excelleration to beat the highly promising favorite, particularly as winners are coming from the back.

You would imagine Hosier will simply angle to the middle of the track and get first use or any bias.

It's easy to say after the race but Prebble really should have stayed on the rails. He may have run 2nd, instead he went hunting for gaps out wide and lost all momentum.

Got back today & never in the hunt.

Saturday level BM78 over 2000m is a bit sharp for him at this stage.

Get him in a BM70 over 2100-2400m midweek at Sandown next time.

Lindsey has said that with this guy (and another one of his Rudhyar) that he is going to be cautious with them as they are both still maturing. Will have short campaigns and be straight to the paddock once the tracks firm up, they will be back for the Autumn when the tracks start to soften up. He has mentioned the Warrnambool Cup as a target race for them.
