The Gp1 Grosser Preis von Berlin has been won by Alpinista  (4m  Frankel - Alwilda, by Hernando) who defeated Torquator Rasso & Walton Street.

Alpinista has been in great form this season winning stakes races at her other 2 starts in 2021. These are her damline details after winning the Gp2 Lancashire Oaks last month. There is plenty of black type in her damline including her 2nd dam Albanova & her sister Alborada who were both Gp1 winners.

The Gp1 Prix Maurice de Gheest has been won by Marianafoot  (6h  Footstepsinthesand - Marianabaa, by Anabaa) defeating Tropbeau & Starman.

Marianafoot has now won his past 7 starts. These were his damline details after winning the Gp3 Prix de la Porte Maillott in July.

Tommy Hughes Snr originally trained Brom Felinity but Jim Mason had her for her stakes wins. However, Tommy Hughes Snr trained her brother Delago Brom to Gp1 success.

Walton Street & Brom Felinity have been discussed in the Exported Mares thread.

The Gp1 Nunthorpe Stakes over 5 furlongs was won by Winter Power  (3f  Bungle Inthejungle - Titian Saga, by Titus Livius) with Emaraaty Ana 2nd & Dragon Symbol 3rd.

Winter Power has now 7 races from 13 starts (all over 5 furlongs) inc the Gp3 Cornwallis Stakes, LR Harry Rosebery Stakes, LR Westow Stakes & LR City Walls Stakes.

These were her damline details after her victory in the Cornwallis Stakes last October.

The Gp2 Lonsdale Cup over 16½ furlongs was won by Stradivarius  (7h  Sea The Stars - Private Life, by Bering) from Spanish Mission & The Grand Visir. Margins were Hd x 7 lengths. Stradivarius & Spanish Mission had a great battle all the way the home straight. Spanish Mission may well be one of the better chances in the Melbourne Cup.

Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

Noticed multiple Melb Cup placegetter is running in the G3 September Stks at Kempton Park tonight.

You’d think that unless he runs a place that it would be pointless bringing him down for another Cup tilt.

The Gp1 Grosser Preis von Baden was won by Torquator Tasso  (4h  Adlerflug - Tijuana, by Toylsome). This was his second success at Gp1 level having also won the 2020 Grosser Preis von Berlin. He is a member of the 9h family & traces back to Allegretta. These are his damline details.

Baaeed  (3c Sea The Stars - Aghareed, by Kingmambo) continued on his winning way scoring his first Group One victory in the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp defeating Order Of Australia by 1¼ lengths with Victor Ludorum third. Baeed was sent out a 1/2 favourite & while possibly not winning as easily as many expected, he takes his record to 5 wins from 5 starts & remains the most exciting 3yo miler in Europe.

These are his damline details. His 2nd dam Lahudood was a dual Grade One winner in USA.

The Gp1 Irish Champion Stakes has been won by St Mark's Basilica  (3c  Siyouni - Cabaret, by Galileo) who defeated Tarnawa by ¾ length with Poetic Flare a nose away in 3rd place.

Despite the small field, it was an excellent contest between the 3 quality gallopers.
