That was a very tidy win. Looks to have a good turn of foot which usually means they can get to a higher grade. Fitting that she won at Weribee too like her mum.

The horse she beat Ishkabibble goes around over 1600m at Swan hill Race 3 today.
Just has to handle the very heavy 10 conditions.

The one she beat was ordinary at Swan Hill.

She and the No1 saddlecloth Is Don Is Good both won on debut over 1620-odd metres and it'll be interesting to see how each kick on.

Know little about the form but Canford was a certainty beaten when ridden by the Japanese apprentice last time. Horrible ride in the straight. R2 watch the last 200m:

Gelagotis has a good opinion on his runner too.
Said he’d only had him a couple of weeks before his debut run as he’d been with Ciaron Maher beforehand.

I think you’ve just gotta forget the Swan Hill run of that particular horse, track was very heavy and a lot of horses struggled.

2nd start, first up for a month, highly unusual for McEvoy, Wonder why the gap in races ?

I thought she did well.

McEvoy also spent a few moments on Tuesday dreaming of a future Melbourne Cup following the easy trial win at Cranbourne of the three-time Cup winner Makyve Diva's daughter Divanation.

The five-year-old mare has been bought along slowly and has run just six times but has never been out of the placings and McEvoy figures she is 12 months away from making a real impact.

"She's in the Cups this year but it's just going to come up a bit soon as her rating is still very low," McEvoy said.

"But gee, she is going well. I think she's improved.

"She trialed really nicely here today on pretty tough, testing ground but got through it quite well and pulled up like she's ready to go to the races.

"I'll watch her closely over the next few days but you'll see her kick off in probably a 1400-metre race in the next couple of weeks."

Wisdom has been chasing me but I've always outrun it!

It's no surprise that the great mare's two best offspring have been sire by stallions with speed.

This from another thread, which is the reverse if you like of where to send a staying bred mare.

"As posted elsewhere by better judges than me, the likes of Dundeel, Fiorente, Americain etc do best when covering mares with speed elements in their makeup.  Those that are stout both top and tail are frequently slow conveyances in Australia".

I remember the stallion Edwardsii whose stock were running around the paddock most were gelded to my knowledge in the 50s and 60s , as they were no hope of being early comers just let em run around till 3 or 4 go and get em break em in and give em a try over ground , he got a few ,Lord Fury ( Melb. Cup) Sharply ( Sydney Cup beating Tulloch) and a mare called Maidenhead who won the inaugural Group 1 Tandcred Stk in 1963, but there was a proviso ......you had to be patient .

Scheduled to return to the track on Sat after more than a year off.

Shes an acceptor at Morphetville in a BM72 over 160m.

Was really showing promise back in 2019, so heres hoping the owners patience in racing her as a 6yo is rewarded.
