Hello,
as I mentioned in another thread for natural reasons, if you go down the damlines in both countries, you will find the "Common ancestor". Sometimes it's 200 years back they went their seperate ways As an example, one of the most succesful Sire in German Thoroughbredbreeding History was Monsun (Königsstuhl - Mosella by Surumu) tracing to Morning Breeze (Cameronian - Dawn Wind by Sunstar) imported to Germany during the 1930's. Since I joined this forum I'm on the look out, whether a branch of a German damline is to find in AUS/NZ. Well I was pretty surprised, there's an AUS damline from the same family! A Sire named Beau Le Havre (Beau Repaire - Pretty Brown by Tommy Atkins) and probably still existing. The common ancestor of both Sires is Pretty Dark (Dark Ronald), Monsun via Dawn-wind and Beau Le Havre via Cleone (The Tetrarch) best regards from Germany, Ticino |
