He attended his favored Brics summit in South Africa last week. I would think his non attendance at the G20 this weekend is more a geo-political statement to de-legitimize it, than anything else.

Hackers claim world’s largest bank paid ransom over cyberattack A ransomware gang has claimed it received payment from a Chinese banking giant
The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) paid a ransom after it suffered a cyberattack against some of its US-based systems last week, LockBit, the hacking group behind the attack, claimed on Monday, according to media reports. The breach on the largest global lender by total assets, which was disclosed on November 9, disrupted some US Treasury market trades from clearing, forcing brokers and traders to reroute transactions. According to Reuters, a LockBit representative confirmed the payment on Monday but declined to provide further details. “They paid a ransom, deal closed,” the representative told the outlet via an online messaging app Tox. The extent of the ICBC cyberattack was so severe that even corporate email systems stopped functioning, prompting employees to use Google mail, according to the outlet. “The market is mostly back to normal now,” said Zhiwei Ren, a portfolio manager at Penn Mutual Asset Management. Ransomware is a type of cyberattack when hackers take control of systems or information in order to demand a ransom. This type of attack has seen a surge in popularity among hackers in recent years. The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center, a financial industry cybersecurity group, urged companies to “stay current on all protective measures and patch critical vulnerabilities immediately.” “Ransomware remains one of the top threat vectors facing the financial sector,” the group’s spokesperson warned. In recent months, LockBit has attacked some of the world’s largest organizations and has been particularly disruptive in the US. The cybercriminal group has been stealing information and leaking sensitive data in cases where victims refused to pay. The ransomware gang has hit more than 1,700 organizations in the US in numerous sectors ranging from financial services and food to schools, transportation and government departments, according to Reuters.

China successfully grows lettuce and tomatoes aboard Tiangong space stationLettuce, cherry tomatoes and more are sprouting in space aboard China's Tiangong space station. China's Shenzhou 16 astronauts have been growing vegetables aboard the Tiangong space station, as part of plans for future deep space exploration. Mission commander Jing Haipeng and rookie astros Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao have been aboard Tiangong since late May and are due to return to Earth on Oct. 31, after handing over control of the station to the newly arrived Shenzhou 17 mission crew. Jing and company have spent time cultivating veggies using two sets of specialized equipment. The first started operation in June and has reaped four batches of lettuce. The second one was put into operation in August for growing cherry tomatoes and green onions. The China Astronaut Research and Training Center has also set up replicas on Earth, allowing researchers to compare results and more accurately analyze divergences in how plants grow in space and on the ground. This, researchers say, is part of a long-term plan to aid deep space exploration. "This vegetable cultivation apparatus is a key part of the whole Environmental Control and Life Support System [ECLSS], and it is used in space to verify the relevant technologies. In the future, we will focus on rapid and large-scale cultivation," Yang Renze, a researcher from China Astronaut Research and Training Center, told CCTV. "The system can be applied to the field of deep space exploration, including our crewed lunar and Mars landing missions," Yang said. "As a key part of the ECLSS, the plants grown from the cultivation apparatus can absorb carbon dioxide in the air to generate oxygen with the photosynthesis, and then regenerate and purify water with transpiration." China is working to put a pair of astronauts on the moon before 2030. It is also planning to build a moon base, called the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS), in the next decade. A crewed Mars landing is much further off, but the Red Planet has been noted as a future destination for Chinese spaceflight. Originally posted on Space.com.

China’s humanoid robot factories to go online in 2025, HALF of human labor force to be eliminatedThe year 2030 is shaping up to be the endgame year for a multitude of major globalist projects, which include humanoid robots that will replace much of the human labor force, both blue-collar and white-collar. Communist China says it plans to begin unleashing its own humanoid robots, one of which is called GR-1, as soon as 2025. GR-1 will supposedly be so advanced as to render many human workers obsolete – you can see a picture of the GR-1 concept at Fftai.cn. An English translation of a Chinese article about humanoid robots explains how they will come integrated with advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), high-end manufacturing and new materials. They are expected to become disruptive products similar to computers, smartphones and new energy vehicles when these were all first released. China's humanoid robots will "profoundly change human production and lifestyle and reshape the world," the article claims, adding that humanoid robot technology is advancing so fast that it is expected to become a new highland for technological competition; a new track for future industries; and a new engine for economic development. What about all the billions of human workers, though? If humanoid robots really become real and make them obsolete, then this will help fulfill the globalist depopulation agenda. "There is a global depopulation agenda underway," explains Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, in the episode below of "The Health Ranger Report." "This depopulation agenda has been rushed, and it is being rushed – this is why they had to release the vaccine bioweapons, and now they're working on World War III as a means of depopulation and they're doing geoengineering and chemtrails and increasing pesticide exposure and causing infertility through lots of different means including soy products, atrazine, in the water, in the foods, all kinds of things to stop births – because the advancements in AI have taken the globalists by surprise. They cannot believe how quickly AI has progressed to where it can now take over human processes including not just writing and not just generating art, but behavior processing, patterns of physical behavior to take over human labor." Xi Jinping behind humanoid robot concept for a "new era" As with most futuristic technologies such as this, humanoid robots are already being sold to the public under the guise of them helping to improve the economy and make the world a more livable place. How can this be true, though, if billions of people have to die in order for humanoid robots to take their place? Microsoft is working on a project that will create humanoid robots to replace white-collar jobs, while communist China is working on humanoid robots to replace blue-collar workers. No human workers are safe from humanoid robots, in other words. "The blue-collar labor jobs are going to be taken over to such an extent that the globalists have realized the only way they maintain control is to cull billions of human beings who are otherwise going to be unemployed and probably rioting," Adams says. Chinese President Xi Jinping is reportedly behind the humanoid robot technology, guiding it through his "Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era." This doctrine was fully implemented by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. By the year 2025, China will have successfully created humanoid robots that contain things like a "brain, cerebellum and limbs." Such robots bearing these characteristics will be ready for mass production by then, after which they will flood the world to full saturation by the year 2030. By the year 2027, the technological innovation and capabilities of humanoid robots will advance even further. This same year is when China expects to create a safe and reliable industrial supply chain system along with an internationally competitive industrial ecosystem to accommodate the robots. One area of the technology that China will devote much of its time to gradually improving is the "brain" component of the robots. These will be based on AI with programming aimed at enhancing environmental perception, behavioral control and human-computer interaction. The "limb" technology component of the robots will borrow from existing robotic technology foundations, including the "robotic limbs" used in surgical settings. As the technology advances, the movement of these robotic limbs will become more lifelike. The "machine body" part of the robots will contain things like lightweight "bones," high-strength body structure, high-precision sensing and long-lasting, highly efficient energy management technologies. There are lesser talked-about potential functions for humanoid robots that are much more dystopian, including their possible use as law enforcement officers or government officials. There are even worries that humanoid robots might be used as "terminator" robots to blow up targets. "These robots will be put in the most dangerous situations and be given the most dangerous tasks," Adams says. "And they will be very efficient as terminators. For humanity to survive, we're going to have to learn how to kill the robots, and we're going to be at war with these robots sooner or later because these robots will follow commands without discernment." One thing to remember is that no matter how advanced humanoid robots become, they will never, at least as far as existing technology allows, have the true ability to reason or process things in the same way as the human brain. This means they will still be inadequate, and humans will still be preferable for performing tasks, especially those that require careful thought and consideration.

China detonates huge non-nuclear hydrogen bomb — media The South China Morning Post has cited researchers as saying the 2kg magnesium hydride device generated a 1,000 degrees Celsius fireball Chinese researchers have successfully tested a non-nuclear hydrogen bomb that created a sustained fireball, far outperforming traditional explosives, the South China Morning Post has reported. In an article on Sunday, the newspaper cited the researchers’ study published last month in the Chinese-language Journal of Projectiles, Rockets, Missiles and Guidance. According to the report, a team from the China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s (CSSC) 705 Research Institute — a key player in underwater weapon systems — developed a 2kg (4.4lbs) bomb primarily composed of magnesium hydride, with conventional explosives serving as the catalyst. In a field test, the device reportedly generated a fireball with temperatures exceeding 1,000 degrees Celsius (1,832 degrees Fahrenheit) that lasted for more than two seconds, which is considerably longer than what an equivalent TNT blast is capable of producing. In the reaction, magnesium hydride, a compound originally developed as an efficient fuel, rapidly releases stored hydrogen gas, resulting in a sustained inferno. The novel explosive device’s destructive power thus is said to lie not in its blast pressure, but rather in the ability to generate extreme heat. The South China Morning Post quoted CSSC research scientist Wang Xuefeng as explaining that its properties also allow for “precise control over blast intensity, easily achieving uniform destruction of targets across vast areas.” If fully developed, the method could presumably yield a weapon similar to napalm or a thermobaric device – ideal for annihilating defensive structures and armored vehicles. While the production of magnesium hydride used to be mostly small-scale and rather complicated, China has recently developed a cheaper and safer production method and built a plant capable of producing 150 tons of the compound per year

Interesting discussion with some students today. One claiming China is too far away to attack Australia, it's too far to mount any sort of attack.
Then a barrage of opposing voices claiming that was simply untrue, why even Japan had snuck subs into Sydney harbour decades ago, not to mention refuelling for planes and ships along the way is ultra common now. Ballistic missiles ranges are improving all the time, even now are capable of landing in Australia from Chinese outposts in the South China sea or pacific, or simply launched from Chinese battle cruisers from the Tasman sea.
Then the discussion turned to what the US would do, would they stand up and defend Australia ?
A fascinating discussion began on how history shows that the US likes to fight all of its wars away from it's own mainland.
Australia would be a great place for the US to fight a war, a war to test weapons, not a proxy war like the Ukraine, a war with an excuse called China, a war to use everything new in their armoury with a vast land mass to land it all on called Australia.
Australia must look like one massive gun range to the Americans and Chinese.
A China v US war could in effect take place in Australia & NZ with Australians/allies having very little protective cover or ability to fight or stop it.
Using the giant land mass of Australia as place to conduct war, suits both the Chinese and US. China could attack US strategic locations like Pine gap, or Darwin, the US retaliates with a gigantic dirt playground to launch and test new weaponry on or at each other.
Launching nuclear weapons into Australia by China is not that easy to disregard anymore. Nor is it a fantasy that the US had a much larger defensive array in Australia than we are all lead to believe.
Why would anyone in Gov ever even discuss such secrets or abilities, but we must consider the lengths of secrecy these giants of the world will go to keep their secrets. General population is the very last to know about such things.
Carl.

What if China was looking at NZ, not Australia during its recent sojourn around the country by ships ?
Most wars are about land, grabbing land, moving people off land, annexation etc..
If China ever took over NZ, they'd have an almighty platform to conduct whatever war they wanted from.
Somewhere like Esperance in WA looks to be the best and safest place to be as far away from any war as possible.

Australian Strategic Policy Institute https://www.aspistrategist.org.au/aspis-critical-technology-tracker-2025-updates-and-10-new-technologies/ The updated picture is stark. China’s exceptional gains in
high-impact research are continuing, and the gap between it and the rest
of the world is still widening. In eight of the 10 newly added
technologies, China has a clear lead in its global share of high-impact
research output. Four—cloud and edge computing, computer vision, generative AI and grid integration technologies—carry
a high technology monopoly risk (TMR) rating, reflecting substantial
concentration of expertise within Chinese institutions.
The historical data for these new technologies tells a familiar
story: an early and often overwhelming US lead in research output in the
opening decade of this millennium, eroded and then outmatched by
persistent long-term Chinese investment in fundamental research. In
total, China now leads in 66 of the 74 technologies tracked, with the
United States leading in the remaining eight—an imbalance that
underscores why trusted partners need to act together to leverage
comparative advantages, reduce concentration risk and shape the
trajectory of critical technologies together.
