Two Fine players & people.      Must be a strain on them with all of us armchair champions to deal with.

   I'd elope with either.

I watched bits of it - I like Osaka, World #1 too!

I'm just glad she got to enjoy it without the Incredible Hulk having the opportunity of making it all about her and chucking a hissy fit and ruining it for a "genuinely" lovely person ...

She could bring people back to the game ... oh wait, it's STILL women's tennis ...Ouch
In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!

The thing that puzzles me about Osaka is how Japanese she is in manner and temperament. Not that I have ever been to Japan but she is the embodiment of my stereotype of a Japanese woman, and she's got a Haitian father and has not lived in Japan since she was 3.

Cracking final with 2 players whom actually make women’s tennis worth watching. The thing I admire about Osaka apart from the Japanese side of her ( humility and temperament ) is despite not having the same physical stature as that shrieking cheating Yank/Russian she hits the ball harder without the excruciating decibels.
It's only called gambling when you lose

No thanks AA..       It appeared Williams was exhausted by the end. She looks grossly overweight and in the heat , something has to give .

Back to the milk cart, Serena ...

Very good entertainment with so many elite standard players.
It would seem the Williams brothers are finally starting to come back to the pack

I guess they would be worried about the comment, cos they don't have as much success, money or status as a food technician who specialises in the effects of stuffing copious amounts of corn chips down his gob.

Or maybe they don't have good muscle definition, at least you can't accuse them of being pale, one of your more hurtful insults LOL

Recently down at the State swimming champs, where due to my involvement at a club I had volunteered (or rather was volunteered) to do some officiating- basically you sit there with one other person at the end of each lane and hit a button when they touch, as back up to the official timer.

Anyway, for some reason there was a large Japanese contingent there. Must’ve been part of their preparation for something or other. So one of their swimmers in my lane (Mizunuma I think his name was), a world ranked swimmer, wins his race. I’m sitting there bored out of my brains with some bloke from Playford Aquatic or wherever waiting for the next race when this Mizunuma appears before us, bows, and thanks us for our “assistance”. Heard similar about their some of the rest of their contingent.

Wouldn’t get that from one of the locals.

Yes very polite which makes their sadistic savagery in WW!! even more surprising, may be explained by a deeper understanding of their culture.

By the way if you want to work out the monetary value of your volunteering I am sure Doc would be happy to help LOL

Nadal is gone. He has changed his game in this tournament, become more aggressive and shortened the rallies to ,1,2 or 3 shots most times.

Works well against lesser opponents, not against Djoker who retrieves every ball. The long rallies are back and Nadal loses most of them.

Having said that I hope Nadal wins, we like Djoker but we love Nadal Smile

I lost all respect for Drugovich when I found out he has been using illegal drugs for years.
Why he hasnt been slapped with a life ban is anyones guess.
Unbelievably good player, with a great story as he rose to world elite, but the whole drugs thing> grrrr.
Noticed many in the crowd actually booed him when he arrived on court tonight. (obviously the ones that know him as "drugovich".
There are entire websites dedicated to exposing his drug use.

This is one of literally dozens of examples of Drugovich, where the illegal drugs he is on, start to fade away and lose effect, leaving him with incredibly bad side effects.
