He's got a pedigree from the 1-s female line (same as More than Ready). I picked Flying Artie because I loved Better Loosen Up and 2nd dam was a 1/2 to him. Pretty well followed Flying Ruby for that reason when she went through the sales. Loosen Up (sire of Better Loosen Up) had a mix of Nasrullah/Djebel and Hyperion and so does Flying Artie.

Then with Artorius it bought in the Sadler's Wells/Danehill cross and the female line 1-s is one I like. This immediate line already Delection running with a Darley Classic G1, while before that it had Al Mamoon (John Henry G1, 2nd Breeders' Cup Mile etc) who had been by Believe It (grandson of Reveille by Star Kingdom). Priceless Gem (dam of Allez France - multiple G1 winner including Arc de Triomphe) and further back Serching and her grandam the great La Troienne.

So on pedigree he leaves nothing to chance. I'm no good at picking sires although my picks from the sales have picked up in recent years with The Autumn Sun, Proisir (out of a mare I picked), Flying Artie (can get a good horse), Alabama Express, Super Seth, Ardrossan have improved my record. Mind you I pick more fillies than coals!

I'd love to see some more Todman blood in the mix but I think he should go well with I am Invincible, Written Tycoon (Southport Tycoon is also from his female family), Flying Spur (mixed well with More than Ready ie Sebring). I think he could have a good cross to lots of our older boys so he has as good a chance as any.

	If there is a horse he reminds me of, it's Telesto Very exciting horse to watch. Hopefully ends up with a better strike rate

	Furious, what future do you see for Artorius as a sire? A friend who is in our mare Bush Girl had a 5% share in him when he was racing. On retirement to stud he sold half for good money and still keeps 2.5% which I assume includes a free nom. We have an Artorius x Simbelation yearling on the farm atm. Looks terrific at this early stage.

	Interesting pedigree mix with Snaadee and Flying Spur same female line. Same with Wilkes and Artie Schiller.
