Are 'Welcome to Country' ceremonies overdone?

 Totally unnecessary. Does it really need to be said?

 Should I add I live in 'Gadigal country' to all official forms when I fill them in?  

 It just makes a mockery of the entire situation when you overdo it.

 

May be someone who supports them could tell me how it impacts them ?

Is it like when someone goes on and on about their own credentials and personal achievements (or those of their children)? If they said it once and moved on you’d give them all due respect and likely accept the truth of what they are saying, but they lose traction and believability every time they drag you across the same territory, especially when they use their perceived status (or the status of their children) to win arguments unrelated to their credentials and personal achievements in circumstances where they have no clue as to the personal history of the person on the other side.

Or repeatedly smashing their text book down on a bench and declaring they “know boats”😆

 I was brought up to believe a woman had as much right to an opinion...and possibly importance in the world...as any man. By a woman whose intelligence would dwarf any person's on this particular site. (there you go, Fishy...more boasting for you and Fart to have fun with...)

 It is quite fascinating how it is the men on TBV who take most umbrage to my posts.

 You can ignore them if you wish. I DON'T CARE. I ignore a lot of Tutu's and PL's ramblings.

 Years ago, Reg Grundy gathered all his most successful quiz champions at a dinner at his and Joy's home. My mother was amongst those gathered, as was Lindsey Browne and Barry Jones.

 My mother and another champion created a poem which totally made fun of all of Reg's many quiz shows...and of Reg himself. At the finish of the reading, Reg was rolling about, laughing, as were all the other champions.

 All except one. 

 Barry Jones looked at Reg and asked: "Why do you find that poem funny?"

 Barry never could understand humour...or why he, himself, was the butt of all their jokes.

 

 I am not Barry Jones....

Relationships with mothers-in-law can be complex. Sounds like a smart man.

And deserve everything we get.
