He has interest alone also on the sire line (wet form) and Lunchtime sitting in the female line.  It's a beautiful day here today but they keep telling us rain is on the way!

Highly impressive return today, picked up beautifully the last furlong.

Bigger & better things in store for this gelding over the rest of the spring.

Handicap next for Another Wil

Another Wil won't feature in Saturday's Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at Flemington, with trainer Ciaron Maher now targeting the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) a week later at Caulfield.

Maher said at The Valley on Saturday that Another Wil's unplaced G1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) effort at Caulfield late last month had bothered him a little and so the 1400-metre handicap appeals more than a Makybe Diva against the likes of Memsie winner Treasurethe Moment.

"We'll give him that extra week - that's probably the main thing - to bring him on a little more and another run at the 1400 will only be to his benefit," Maher said.

"Prep has gone reasonably smoothly. He's slightly bigger and I expected him to need the run but was surprised where he finished (sixth, beaten six lengths). Hopefully it's just fitness but it was a bit of a worry as he had his head on his side a bit."

Maher said he expects Another Wil to present as a much fitter horse at Caulfield with three weeks between his runs.

"Just that run under the belt and he's had a few good pieces of work (since)," he said. "Two weeks is tough to do anyway, so that extra week will help."

Maher said Another Wil has the option of staying at handicap level in a race like the G1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) or returning to elite weight-for-age level after the Sir Rupert Clarke.

"We'll see," he said. "If he runs back to form then we'll have a look but it's (Sir Rupert Clarke) an easier option for him. He's slightly bigger and he's relaxed a little bit more - he was always quite busy.

"Hopefully it (Memsie) was just a run, but I was a little bit concerned with it."
