Yes they have a habit of prostituting a brand. Did the same with Blue Ribbon Ice Cream. For years an upmarket tub offer - 1litre or 2 litre (1/2 gallon before that). Then slowly introduced it into almost every product they made - ala Blue Ribbon Hearts. Now the same with Magnum. Funny thing about the Blue Ribbon formulation having some buttermilk - & that fact advertised extensively to promote, Well has anyone ever tasted buttermilk ? - ghastly stuff LOL

 I hate Blue Ribbon ice cream...would rather give up eating ice-cream altogether, than eat it.

 Peters and Bulla both taste better. 

 Messina is the best. It is sublime. My daughter's workplace treats the dog owned by the Messina ice cream maker. He often rewards them with huge tubs of the product. The Lychee coconut is to die for.

Another good thread that makes Two ... so Lockdown is worth it after all .. life was going just too fast ...

Well l'll be  Oneone and ice-cream who would have thought had not even the faintest ... as kids Sunnyboy ice Blocks for 5c on stinking hot days were great from the school Tuck shop at recess. Triangular pack that just melted slowly enough Orange of course the Cola just wasn't it.

Formal functions Weddings Christenings etc We'd get  Cassatta at the end of the night l think it was like a swiss roll type thing they'd slice chocolate or another that was white where Vienetta may have been inspired from.

Anyway good memories ... we did have a life once LOL

Ms Kitching, the wife of notorious former political blogger Andrew Landeryou, would be a contentious choice, with senior party figures warning of the dangers of her preselection to the party and Shorten.

"It's crazy" is one how one federal Labor frontbencher described the Shorten push for Ms Kitching.


Some insiders from the party's Right faction have warned that the Shorten group's insistence on Ms Kitching - deeply unpopular in many parts of the party - is threatening to destroy the stability deal.

Fairfax understands that on Thursday morning Mr Conroy and Mr Marles were actively lobbying for Ms Taylor. Right faction lea

Her marriage to Mr Landeryou - Mr Shorten's close friend and political counsel - has been especially problematic for her political career.

His aggressive and often defamatory blog - which he closed down in 2013, coinciding with Mr Shorten's rise to the party leadership - upset many in the party, including within the Right.

Senior Labor figures are also concerned about the role of both Ms Kitching and Mr Landeryou in the scandal-plagued Health Workers Union, formerly the Health Services Union (HSU).

Ms Kitching was the union's general manager after the victory of a team led by Diana Asmar team in 2012.

The union racked up heavy losses and was warned it risked insolvency after spending heavily to defend senior union officials in a case over the alleged forging of permits to enter workplaces.

   I haven't seen any Cause of death for the poor Lady but widely reported she was being treated for Endocrine System problems ( Thyroid TSH ) specifically mentioned that it was effecting her heart.

Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union lawyer Abha Devasia is one of many local candidates vying for pre-selection.

She said Labor should have acknowledged the need for more diversity in the wake of criticism of the decision to parachute Kristina Keneally into the Western Sydney seat of Fowler.

"I desperately want Labor to win but selecting a white, millionaire man from the Eastern suburbs to run for Parramatta would be a tone-deaf choice and wilfully disrespectful to our community," Ms Devasia said.

One Western Sydney Labor Party member, who did not want to be identified, said the plan to bypass a local ballot was a "slap in the face".

"He [Albanese] needs to be careful if he puts [in] the wrong candidate," the Labor figure said.

Albo who had said he wouldn't be commenting until after Ms Kitching was laid to rest told Karl Stefanovic today that no complaint was made by Kimberley Kitching. He said she complained to Richard Marles about being left off the tactics committee but said that was not unusual, himself having been booted off it for 4 years. She was removed for giving Linda Reynolds a heads up she was in Labor's sites re Brittany Higgins.

He has dug a big hole if he is lying.

Marles like Albo was choosing to not speak before the funeral. Unsure who said that Kitching had spoken to Reynolds. That seemed to come out on the weekend.

What about her being side-lined by the ALP. She was told to take her place to make up the numbers in the Senate on the overnight shift, whilst the cabal of three were dining in the Parliamentary dining room , she knew she faced dis-endorsement for the upcoming senate election. That terrible statement by Wong about her infertility was made years ago, her heart attack was brought about by her RECENT treatment by those three mean women. Just think if the ALP wins the up-coming election all of those three will be the federal Cabinet. OMG.
