Rain delay, not good for Australia if this is washed out, that would be 1 point each, they need to win, looks like it could be a DLS type scenario if they do get back out there.

Comfortable win for Australia in the end but imagine the feeling of coming from a spin friendly nation and being ripped apart by Adam Zampa?

Flag of convenience sporting nationality is a joke. And it's the same in all sports isn't it? The granny clause gets you in.

PL. it would be of interest who would qualify to be in an indigenous cricket team ? Going by those who identify as indigenous for government handouts, I reckon the team would give the current ODI team a run for their money.

And there it is, bobby managing to squeeze his inherent conservative rubbish into a cricket thread.

Well done bobby.

What are these government handouts for aborigines? I see aboriginal folk in town every day and they never seem to be flush with cash.Big smile With Bob's assistance I can point them in the right direction, to easy street.

3 big matches coming up today and over the weekend, Australia vs Pakistan, England vs South Africa and India vs New Zealand, with Netherlands vs Sri Lanka as an early match tomorrow as well.

The first two matches feature the sides positioned from 3-6, the third is 1 v 2, so semi final implications all round, NZ or India can all but lock in a spot with a win while South Africa and Pakistan can both put some space on the chasing pack with wins.

500 a real possibility if they can keep this pace going for another 10-15 overs with wickets in hand, won't be surprised at all if we get close to 30 overs and they're only 0 or 1 down to see Stoinis and Maxwell padded up ready to go.

Somtimes your a plonker fiddler.  All I said was if they kept up that scoring rate for another 10-15 overs 500 was a real possibility, Pakistans spinners did well to arrest the scoring rate after that, they deserve credit.

Nearly a must win for the Poms today against South Africa as part of a crucial fortnight for their title defense, after Sri Lanka (next match) they play Australia and India.

England should give up, pack up and rack off home after the most embarrassing WC effort I've ever seen, what a bunch of no hopers. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

India have defeated New Zealand, Kohli falling with 5 runs needed for victory and 5 runs short of a 49th ODI hundred (and 79th international hundred in all formats).

Case closed for mine, we're looking at 50 over crickets GOAT batsman.

The way the cards are falling India is a shoo-in to make the final, with NZ, South Africa or Australia their opponents.

Aussies look near certainties to make the semi finals now, especially with Travis Head to come back.  Bank Bangladesh, Netherlands and Afghanistan as wins, meaning they only need a win against either England or New Zealand to progress.

Pakistan scored 282 Versus Afghanistan

sooooo Afghanistan need 283 to win, and in my estimation is doable the way they have been playing. Pakistans score would have been much lower if their tail hadn't wagged so good as it did, they looked like being all out for less than 250.

Afghanistan win by 8 wickets.  First ever ODI win vs their neighbours.  Given they play Sri Lanka and Netherlands in their next two they may find themselves at least in the semi final conversation with a couple games to go.

In other news, the double world champs are now bottom of the table.
