They do have separate teams for the most part, Englands white ball team is completely separate from the test team for the most part, but because its a world cup all of a sudden they bring in all the test players..Confused what's the point of having a white ball team fully separate if you are going to ditch them all in favor of test players for a WC..? I'd be pissed off if I was in the regular white ball team and get the flick when a major tournament comes around, doesn't show much loyalty or trust eh..?

Fiddles nice to see we meet on common ground about cricket, whereas on the Voice we obviously have opposing views. BTW have you taken that $6.50 about the Voice getting up with Blue Bet ?

Gillespie and Kasprowicz didn't play a world cup.  Shaun Tait to injury prone.

I don't think it would be accurate to compare bowling averages directly, the overall scoring rate in 50 over cricket has gone up in the last 20 years so naturally the median bowling average has also.  All the same Lee was a great white ball bowler, probably the most comparable to Starc and McGrath's brilliance can not be compared, however like I said, the 99/03/07 bowlers also had that high powered batting line-up.

The 03 final had a top 7 of Hayden, Gilchrist, Ponting, Martyn, Lehmann, Bevan and Symonds.  Perhaps if you were to pick a top 7 over the 3 finals, you'd swap Clarke in for Martyn and Hussey in for Lehmann, a top 7 that would put the fear up many and one that could either set a target thats tough or chase any target down, much easier on the bowlers than the present line up.

I think you should have more than one or two betting accounts as you will not always get the best of the odds with only one bookie. I am sure Blue Bet would let you one for more than $50 especially if you are backing the NO vote @ $1.08. Those $50 limits are restricted to an equivalent bonus bet if you lose your initial $50 bet.

I'm not really interested in betting much anymore Bob. I just keep one account open for my sports multi's and the occasional surfing bet. I don't bet on animals anymore period, so having one account is ok for me, besides they all copy one another's odds most of the time anyway. Last weekends premier league multi I had all the results correct barring Liverpool and Brighton, I had Liverpool to win and it was a draw, my nerves got the better of me and I cashed out $200 odd something, the bet was a $10 bet spread over two $5 bets, if Liverpool won and I let it ride it was something like 33k ish

it's all just a bit of fun.

This and a few surfing bets when I'm feeling it are my limits these days.

There is zero problem with the talent in our current team. The problem is the approach to the game…..tactics

NZ V Bangladesh tonight be nice to see the tigers get up but I can't see it. Teams like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka etc don't have the power hitters in batting necessary to win big games against the big 4. They try to win games hitting 1's and 2's, that's just not good enough in the big games. When you have so many big lads with powerful arms who can put it over the fence time and time again, they have no hope really.

Big Big game tomorrow night Pakistan V India, the crowd atmosphere will be something else.

You are not unlike myself. After betting full time as a pro horse racing punter for over 30 years I now bet in peanuts, just for a bit of fun. There is very little, or any overs left for even smart punters these days betting on horse racing, as you say, bookies copy one another, and odds vary by half a point here and there.

When I think in the old days I got 3/1 on the tote about 7/4 shots, or 20/1 on the tote about 12/1 chances and I thought it would last forever, but with the current small attendances at country racetracks, now if you wear a suit and tie into the betting ring at some outer country tracks they shorten the odds of the favourite in case you want to back it.

The on course betting ring no longer represents the true market as it did 20 years ago as more money is bet with the corporates off track and they layoff the hot money with each other, it never finds the way on track.

The on-track bookies have dropped off like flies and the corporates are sitting on their computers in their city offices have taken over playing the few punters left for mugs.

NZ win easily over Bangladesh and look like they are heading for the semi finals. They have had a dream start in this WC.

Don't forget Pakistan V India tonight should be a cracker.

India win toss and bowling, Pakistan off to a reasonable start at 79-2 off 15 overs, so they are travelling at around 5.75 an over.

India easily defeat Pakistan.

England (Afghanistan) and South Africa (Netherlands) should both win their 3rd matches, I think the Aussies face a must win vs Sri Lanka tomorrow, lose and they'll already be 2 wins behind the top half of the table with 1/3 of the fixtures complete.

And all of a sudden you guys are interested in the WC, big surprise, I wonder why. Pinch

England looked tired and jaded, like a lot of the teams here at this WC, the heat and travel must be jarring after a while. Eng batting has been woeful, gotta give AFG credit though, their bowling was pretty tight, and they scored a total that was always going to be tricky to chase down. This whole win the toss and bowl no matter is just insane imo, on these pitches you want to bat first every game, chasing on these low slow pitches is just nuts imo.

It seems like India have prepared test match like pitches, for one day cricket, and it's showing up in some of the results. There hasn't been one of those traditional one day pitches at any of the grounds I've seen, you know those where the ball comes onto the bat nicely and there is very little grass, all of the pitches are slow and low, with loads of dead grass on them like day 4 test pitches.

Doubt England can come back from this. I seriously want to punch Bairstow in the nose, he is so dopey it drives me mad. The lack of energy and charisma from most of the players is hard to watch.

Do or die tonight against Sri Lanka for Australia. Seriously you could bet your house on them winning this game surely, Sri Lanka have been weak, especially when chasing totals they are hopeless, no big hitters or big blokes, just lots of 1's and 2's and the occasional boundary. Let's see how the pitch is again tonight, low and slow is my guess.

Fiddles, free money?
You should have backed the NO vote at the referendum, that was $ 1.10 at the jump ..10% on your.money overnight, and now you are telling me Australia are over the odds at $ 1.22, against a side that has already made over 300 runs in both their games already.. leave me out of those odds on Australia thank you very much

I can’t watch these clowns anymore. After making absolute fools of themselves with their bowling tactics in the UK they’re continuing it here

Half track rubbish, usually leg side & easily banished to the boundary Dead
