If I'm not mistaken they did an Australian story on him one time, I recall watching it or something similar anyways on the ABC, didn't know anything about him but that show was really interesting and he was an interesting character, one of those colourful OG immigrants.

Sad news. A report I read mentioned he died after falling at home. Guessing that he has fatally injured himself as a result of not being able to use his hands to break the fall. Very sad.
