This lightly raced former kiwi stayers has a very good record. Resumes with Chris Waller on Saturday at Rosehill.

Sneaky chance too I think. Been worse horses getting around at $17 & $4.80 - I'll have a wager on each way.
Is his naming just an error or is thebarman kiwi spelling or something???
Interesting fact for those interested... and this is before going to the Waller empire... He has proven a profitable horse for the punters over the journey. If you had backed Who Shot Thebarman throughout his career you'd have achieved a 249% return on investment. |

"He's on a Melbourne Cup path, so he's got a long way to go," Waller said. "He's settled in very well and came to us in great shape." Who Shot Thebarman has had two trials ahead of his resuming run, finishing sixth in both, and has pleased his new conditioner. "His trials have been good and he showed a bit of speed," Waller said. "I guess he will get back and run home on Saturday, but gee he's got some class on his side." |

how does this horse rate with past Auckland Cup winners who have come over and attempted to win the Melbourne Cup? Is this horse as good as let's say.......Jezabeel? Jezabeel is the only horse to do the Auckland Cup-Melbourne Cup double.

Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

Am I not allowed to back more than one horse in a race, especially when both horses are long odds? Check the Rough As Gutz thread if you want proof I tipped the horse.

awwww poor little fiddler. proof is in the pudding, stated in me thread that I'd be backing 2 horses in most races. 2 horses chosen in the race so I don't see what you are confused about... |

What a nice stayer. I took the $1.85. Must admit I was cursing when Sea Moon flushed him out but he was dominant. Best work was last 200m and then he walked home. Soft.

Yeah was cursing Sea Moon for pushing him 3 wide, but as it turned out could have sat 5 wide and make no difference!

Was a weak race but he travelled wide around both turns and won eased up. He's a Cups chance for sure.

what a great weekend and what a horse this guy is becoming. I took the shorts also and thought oh ooo we're in trouble but he just puts in where it counts
backed him for both the cups but I don't think he's going to get into the Caulfield Cup from what I can understand... bummer too as I also had He's Your Man and he's going to the Cox Plate. should run well in the Melbourne Cup if they can keep him up.

1.5kg penalty.... looking at 53kg for CC... but with weights going up 2kg he'll carry 55kg.

Ridiculous 1.5kgs penalty for the Caulfield Cup, that is a joke. He beat Marksmanship...who was beaten out of sight the start before. If he didn't win this race easily you'd be very worried. But 1.5kgs?? Thought maybe 0.5kg at the most
