Explained about Bianconi in the other thread - pocket talking.

and Blevic, I'm not really sure. He just isn't my sort of horse, again that wouls seem strange given his figures but he's just not a horse I'd personally use. I guess we all have likes and dislikes.

[QUOTE=EverydayImShufflin]Value breed to race options are becoming harder and harder to find in my opinion. Many have mentioned Blevic, but personally I couldn't have him, nor could I have Bianconi - I know the latter is doing little wrong, but personally I think he is very much overrated.

Dubleo on the other hand is exceptional value, and capable of getting a top horse for your buck.

Mossman was the horse last year.

Both Dubleo and Mossman stand at Vinery  Do you have an interest in Vinery ?

No, not at all. Again, talking from previous experience, but overall I feel Dubleo represents the best value for money - and for me he's not just a breed to race option.

Move on from Vinery. Boring. Anyone else have ideas. What about a Vic stallion.

Amadeus Wolf has beautiful bloodlines and is a great type, yet had suprisingly low patronage in his first visit last season.  Inexpensive too.  Best value in Victoria

I agree.  Interesting that they kept this one as a stallion prospect but hardly surprising given his dam is a G1 winner and his fourth dam gave us Marscay.

And I don't think they are fussed if he doesn't produce early two year olds.

King Of Prussia perhaps?

Appears to be doing an okay job considering the mares he would have covered.

Both Fast'n'Famous and Tuffontein are from the Betty Box family .

I like both of them but have a big watch on FnF as he should Australia far more than NZ . I'd like to know why he didn't attract mares in NZ and was sold on , but if you read some of the NZ forums most will say he now looks like one that got away .

If you like Dubleo he has moved from Vinery this season so should be appealing price wise, a beautifully bred horse & a lovely type, I am also a fan of Lucas Cranach my opinion is we never saw the best of him , love Mawingo the German horse sadly too far to send my mares as we have too many in his bracket in Qld but will watch with interest:

When talking breed to race value we really shouldn't be including stallions who haven't produced any runners yet. Its total speculation and there's no evidence to support an argument either way.

Al maher now at the 10k region is breed to race and 60.5% W/R and over 6% SW/R is a good sire if you can be patient as they don't tend to make 2yo's
3..2..1..Big rocket go now!

I'm going to throw in a vote for Bianconi. With little fanfare, he churns out winners every day of the week. There are worse (IMO) standing for a lot more.

I'll punt on Salade being a great value breed to race stallion , love his female line , I'm a fan of Brueghel feeding in on the bottom line .

If he has done this job off the quality of book he has generally had, what will it look like in 12-24 months!

Still quite capable but as is the way the quality of older stallions books decline as breeders rush their mares off to overhyped over priced freshman's.

The buyers read syndicators and stallion owner buybacks then lap it up in the sale ring leading to articles about x stallion performing like a champion in the sales ring.

5 years later when 80% have proven they can't run they are moved to a backwater farm or shipped off to China or chile, the stallion owners and syndicators having made a good return, and the owners of the progeny sporting a big pineapple up their are.
