Real racing returns this evening with the running of the Lincoln at Doncaster-
A 1 Mile straight course event-
Some 22 runners to face the starter-
Great spectacle-
Great trading-

Will Fiddles be paroled Gay?

Shocking misread by Frankie there. Gave Cannock Chase far too many lengths to make up.

Retired Greyhound Breeder/Owner-Trainer/Public Trainer second only in scale to the Wheeler Kennels. This revelation should ensure my name is crossed off a lot of Xmas Card lists.

Melbourne Cup runner up Max Dynamite resumes tomorrow after a lengthy rest in the G3 Henry II Stakes over 2 miles 78 yards @ Sandown Park (hmmmm). Franky Dettori decided to give this one a miss... Wink

No prep races for Max. Straight into the deep end!

How common is it for horses over there to go 1st up at 2400m and beyond?

Nobody does anything even remotely close to that out here, although somebody tried it in the Ramsden last saturday and done no good.

You will rarely if ever see a stayer resume at anything less than 2000m in fact it is rare that a proper stayer starts at less than 2600m.

By the by Kellinni ( ?) is making a name for himself in the UK over 1400m these days.

Punters took for 4/7on for Max today and will be a bit puzzled. In a field of 4 MD hit the front over a furlong out, but failed to put the race to bed, and Pallasator steadily cut him down from behind to score by two and a quarter lengths, with Suegioo making late gains to snatch second in the final strides.

Maybe in fact this was a prep race....  If we see him next month in the Ascot Gold Cup.

Brudder it was a serious trot and canter race. It was the perfect example of a race being won by the fastest 400m horse.
