No it's because they can only ride two or three times a week (at most)

And the meetings often only have 5 or 6 races. 

In saying that, it's a good lurk for those jocks who are prepared to work, yet cannot break into the ranks here, such as Wayne Davis, Vanessa Arnott etc.... who generally get around 4-5 rides a meeting, yet in Vic they'd be battling to get that a week and having to travel all over the place to get them.
