Why hasn't more fuss been made of this filly's win in the Arrowfield Stud Stakes? The ground she made up in such a short space of time was absolutely freakish and it was no slouch she nailed in front, it was Solicit, who had an easy enough time of it in front.

Nothing else got near Solicit. In fact I don't think anything took any ground off her except Lucia Valentina.

For me, it was an even better finish than Criterion's Rosehill Guineas win a week prior over the same track/distance. I thought Criterion was a Derby certainty off that run and this filly looks unbeatable to me in the Oaks as well.

She'll handle the wet, will eat up the 2400m and has an electric turn of foot after running a trip which will see her able to overcome any challenge to sit/sprint and make up ground if they walk.

She hasn't been one of mine but I was converted after last start.

Zanbagh or Suavito can turn the tables, the rest have none for mine.

I concur Sunline. She made a run  of 400m plus and looked to have even more to offer when she went over the line. Missed the price unfortunately. $3 now and I reckon she'll be shorter. Last 3 she's been 50s, 25s and 8s.

No huge odds for me but had a decent bet at 19's a month or so back so happy with that. I think only the other kiwi can beat her.

Not sure how they beat her on Saturday, has had a very good campaign and likely to improve again.

I was confident of Criterion's chances on Saturday and I'm even more so with her's this Saturday.

I'm still very happy to be on Rising Romance. Beat LV on a slow track in NZ before the Arrowfield Stud race and reckon she was given a very ordinary ride. Will forgive the run and think she can turn the tables.

Has been one of mine from almost beginning. Thought she would have romped in the derby had they gone there. Will be only one of the Oaks or Derby 3yo's to go on and be competitive as an older horse at 2000m plus. Rising Romance only possible danger.

I reckon it's almost worth going a Luci/ RR exacta.

RR was apparently uncomfortable in the going last time, trialling tomorrow on the heavy. If anyone sees the trial can they let us know what they think. It will probably be reported anyway but another pair of eyes is always handy. I'll be surprised if they ride her so far back this time.

Lucia Valentina would be the main horse to take out of Saturday for the future big races?

Which would she be likely to be aimed at?

Lees said the four-year-old mare is “nominated for everything” and confirmed her next start is likely to be in the Group 1 $350,000 George Main Stakes (1600m) at Royal Randwick in two weeks time.

“I’m pretty sure she will go to the George Main and then either the Craven Plate or the Turnbull Stakes,’’ Lees added.

“Obviously the Caulfield Cup or the Cox Plate is there if she is measuring up.’’

The day she won the Arrowfield Stud I had her down as a serious horse. The turn of foot she showed to haul in the good mare that was leading was phenomenal.

I then lost a bundle on her in the Oaks and low and behold there was that electrifying acceleration on show again today.

I can't remember a mid distance to staying mare with that sort of turn of foot. She can win a serious race this spring with that paralysing acceleration.

She is a sensational filly but has had a couple of problems. I noticed today she had hoof filler ......

Hope she stays sound and that the bog track today was not too taxing on her.

Lees reckons it is better suited at WFA and the Cox plate is the target. Not sure about staying 2400m

Trainers are some of the biggest dribblers in society.

I remember Waller not wanting to run Weary in the Doncaster, which was absolute nonsense, and then he even backs him up in the All Aged.

I quite like a Epsom, Cox Plate, McKinnon program for her though.

Very nice win on Saturday but time and time again people burn their cash rating horses off heavy track performances.

Not saying this girl is just a wet tracker but I'm inclined to think she'll be sent out unders in her next few starts.

I don't rate her ahead of Silent Achiever. I think 2000m is more her go think Snecks program would suit her.
