Tally was a big run. Gave the first two 4kg and had a three wide trip. He was certainly entitled to fade late, but still only beaten 3.4L. Wonder if they press on with him. Don't think they've got him tactically right this prep, but he's a nice horse.

Tally looks like it'l be a better 2000m horse. longer trips might stretch it too far.

Tried to settle back but as you say sat three wide.  After being hunted in the CC which annoyed.

Who knows about Godolphin, however they're probably right in pulling the pin and looking to the Autumn.

As in all truth don't believe my $100 at $51 for Tuesday's Cup (see earlier post) was likely to return a dividend.

Dunno about that but if you watch the run-on in the replay you'll see Tom eventually catch him at about the 2200m mark iirc, well after Mcevoy had slipped out of overdrive. Tom did manage to crack 12sec for his last 200 so I suspect Boss' comment was coloured by the speed he saw Oceanographer coming when he looked over his shoulder in the straight.

Interesting to see he's been transferred to Chris Waller at Rosehill.

I wonder what races CJW will target him at?

Perhaps some of those early spring middle distance races like the Premiers Cup 1800m and Kingston Town Stks 2000m

If Waller wins the Metrop with this horse FBI should hang their heads in shame.

Apparently he is hard to handle and they thought Waller might be able to get him firing

I'm off to back him each way.

Somebody stop me. Please.

Let this post be a source of ridicule and regret come Saturday afternoon. Either that or Waller is even more of a genius than we first thought.

Thankfully he doesn't owe me nearly as much as he owes most. So I've got some courage left.

Bet some of the owners wish they'd held him back in the trial. Priced like he was an up and comer rather than what we know but it was some trial.

I've had a side bet with a mate.
If he loses I'll give him $100, he wins I get $100

I'm confident he wins

Train wreck. Absolute certainty beaten. Travelled too well around the turn.

Stiffer than Charlevoix (yes still hurts and still waiting to get Williams' cheque in the mail)

They just showed the trial onn r.com. Watched it closely during the week and can't believe I didn't back him. Made the in-form Flippant look second rate.
