Don't be ignorant. U. S. President's are elected by the Electoral College, not the popular vote.

If you do math the electoral college normally favors the Democrats because blue states have the most voters. Hillary should have won by a landslide but didn't even come close. Marginally blue or swing states actually voted for Trump, but don't let me tell you not to look stupid.

Surely after this debacle no one is seriously buying his “witch hunt” schtick anymore. He couldn’t possibly have undermined his own criticism of the Mueller probe any more than he in the last few days.

The democrats won the popular vote for the second term of Bush Snr, both terms Bush Jnr and the most recent.
That indicates that the electoral college does not normally favour the Democrats.

The Republicans devote a huge amount of time and money to disenfranchising Americans. Google Republicans disenfranchising voters. Here is one from the search.

Republicans were wildly successful at suppressing voters in 2016

Three GOP-controlled states demonstrate the effectiveness of disenfranchising the opposition.

"Last week, the first election in 50 years without the full protection of the federal Voting Rights Act propelled Donald Trump to the White House.

Trump will assume the presidency because of the Electoral College’s influence — though nearly three million more people cast ballots for Hillary Clinton. The election was also marked by low turnout, with tens of millions of eligible voters choosing not to participate at all. Yet there has been relatively little discussion about the millions of people who were eligible to vote but could not do so because they faced an array of newly-enacted barriers to the ballot box.

Their systematic disenfranchisement was intentional and politically motivated. In the years leading up to 2016, Republican governors and state legislatures implemented new laws restricting when, where, and how people could vote — laws that disproportionately harmed students, the poor, and people of color. In several instances, lawmakers pushing such policies said explicitly that their goal was suppression of voters who favor the Democratic Party.

Three such states serve as case studies for the effectiveness of these voting restrictions: Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Florida.

All three elected staunchly conservative governors during President Obama’s terms. All three implemented voting restrictions that affect millions of people. President Obama won all three states in 2008, and won all but North Carolina in 2012, while Hillary Clinton lost all three of those states this year."

the orange lying clown has been in for 17 months - lets see how how the states is performing at the end of his term. the corporate tax cuts have left a massive hole in revenue and zero trickle down benefit for workers.  Unemployment dropped from 10% to 4.8% under obama - its now at 4.1%.
combine this with trade wars and i can't see much long term benefit for the states. the trade deficit continues to blow out and trumps belligerent foreign policy is a disgrace.

He can't be compared with The Brown Lying Clown ... because he has achieved so many of his promises, whilst O'bummer ran a government based on identity politics, his greatest achievement developing the terrorist groups ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter and their racist hateful divisive culture.

The only way they can be compared, is by the FAKE NEWS HYSTERIA about every little thing Trump does -

* Trump is the DEVIL INCARNATE for separating children from their criminal illegal immigrant parents - Obama did precisely the same thing and gets a leave pass.

* Trump is a dangerous out of control megalomaniac for meeting with North Korea - Obama gets a leave pass for doing nothing about NK.

* Trump is blamed for Russian Interference in US elections - THAT HAPPENED UNDER OBAMA's PRESIDENCY!

* Trump is examined for a year over alleged RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA! collusion, that never happened - Hillary and Obama got $$$Billions from the Russians for actually colluding.

* The FAKE NEWS media call for Trump to be charged with Treason for sitting down and talking to the Russian President ... where he offered nothing more than to continue the strongest sanctions ever, no compromise on booting 60 Russian diplomats, exposing and calling out the German collusion with Russia ... whereas, Obama gets caught RED handed making deals, and nothing ...

OK, you don't like Trump, he's NOT "Presidential", he doesn't say what you want to hear, his achievements are embarrassing you .... but are you left wing nutters really so hateful and deranged that you don't get this stuff?Wacko

did you mean ... ARROGANT ELITIST DEMOCRATS WERE "WILDLY UNSUCCESSFUL" AT RALLYING SUPPORT IN 2016.

I love the concept of voluntary voting! ... the lazy, over confident elites who rest on their imagined achievements will sometimes get their asses kicked ... like Shrillary did!Clap

Whilst thousands of Trump Hater's head explode all over the globe, I can't quite work out what exactly it was that Trump said that was "treasonous"?

He said that he doesn't trust his own people - why would he when the bureaucracy is exposed as being made up of biased liars.

He stated that Putin said very strongly that Russia didn't interfere - well, that's what he said.

What else did Trump say or do?

Did he invite the 60 diplomats he kicked out recently, to return? ... no
Did he water down the economic sanctions that are crippling the Russian economy? ... no
Did he make any announcement in favour of Russia? ... no
Did he say that it was preferable for the two nations to have good relations? ... yes

Was he wishy washy in replying to FAKE NEWS media questioning? ... yes ... Did he clarify that ... yes he did so today.

NOTE: Although the FAKE NEWS media did not repeat it - because it destroys their agenda, Trump DID SAY THAT;

PUTIN HAS INVITED US INVESTIGATORS TO BE INVOLVED IN THE INVESTIGATION AND INTERROGATION OF THE 12 RUSSIAN AGENTS WHO HAVE BEEN INDICTED ... THAT IS HUGE!!!ClapClap

However, the Democrats and their FAKE NEWS media, have NO INTEREST IN JUSTICE ... they just want to roll one unfounded accusations into the next lot of unfounded accusations. They dont want ANY investigation completed ... none of that supports their conspiracy agendas ...

Seriously, this guy is subject to the highest degree of damning media scrutiny of any individual in the history of the world ... and 2 years later, they still can't make anything stick, and it's doing their heads in! ... they are themselves caught in a relentless cycle, having to make stuff up, and then become hysterical about it and blow it out of all proportion, in an attempt to discredit him. If you step back from it, and forget everything that has accumulated, and just consider the allegations individually, along with the complete lack of evidence in each case, you actually see how ridiculously biased it all is.

I'm good thanks - I read all I need to read - the opposite to the Republicans interruption of enrollments, is quite simply the Democrats failure to get new enrollments ...

Just another failure of the lazy arrogant elites.

I haven't made up my mind on whether the Trumpies are morons but Trump is in no doubt. Example- today's ludicrous explanation for yesterday's Helsinki debacle. The great leader clearly thinks they will swallow anything.

I think it was a ridiculous statement ... because it was unnecessary - the screeching morons of the left will have forgotten about it, as quickly as it takes Stormy to rub her boobs on another patron of the strip joint she's working double shifts at, so she can pay her ambulance chaser attorney.

In the mean time what is Obama doing with the Russians, now that he has "more flexibility"??? (those yoga classes may just pay off!) ... is anyone of the left asking that question? ... oh really?

Brilliant DOC :-   You are the WINX of TBV .

I too , can't find anything that sends the Trump Haters into a celebration.

We have NO IDEA what went on between Trump & PUTIN .

Some "claim" a direct line to Spew their delusions but that's a fact .
We don't have a clue , it is all wish full thinking.

My reliable info is that Putin went quiet after "Trump shirt fronted him".

Shammy, any thoughts on who the ''Republican leadership'' mentioned but unnamed as co-conspirators in the Russian spy  Mariia Butina's indictment?

Rohrabacher thinks he is gone, but he isn't senior leadership.

Mr Mueller is cleaning out that corrupt Republican and NRA rats nests.

Looking forward to the first Manafort trial next week? I see 5 witnesses have been granted immunity from prosecution in exchange for giving up their 5th rights. Stock up on popcorn Shammy, it might be a long process.

No thoughts on it, but so far no immunity has been granted Manafort witnesses.

https://nypost.com/2018/07/17/mueller-asks-for-immunity-for-witnesses-in-manafort-case/

Don't be disingenuous. The NRA was not included in any indictments against the Russian national on a student visa. I am beginning to think I was wrong to apologize to you. Your marginal untruthful reporting is very malicious. As far as the Manafort trial, I will leave the popcorn and hysteria to you.

No doubt about it. All politics aside, our yankee ears perk up when Putin speaks. Much like on this thread when PT or other unhinged lefties post. We enjoy the humor. Did you see that Marble admitted to living in one of our CA sanctuary cities? It appears he drank too much of the CA water. It has a high liberal content. People who have lived there actually believe they are smarter than everyone else.

Whoa! Billionaire big Dem donor George Soros says he doesn't particularly want to be a Democrat anymore. This in a NY Times interview. With the mid-terms coming up, that could not be good for Dems fundraising that is already struggling.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/07/18/george-soros-calls-obama-greatest-disappointment-says-doesnt-particularly-want-to-be-democrat.amp.html

PT may have to revise the content and style of his posts from unhinged hysterical malicious mania to whiny petty manic depressed groaning. It will be interesting to see how his cut and paste posts work with the sad side of lefty thinking.
