One week away and the fun begins.
Lots of lovely looking horses on Sirecam with pedigrees to match.
Thoughts anyone on how this sale will play out?
Looking through the catelogue have 75 Redoutes, 62 Encostas, 30 Flying Spurs, 33 Exceeds , 38 Rocks and then 56 Fatnet rocks.
Can the volume of top quality high stud fee priced yearlings ever be too much for the amount of money there to spend, even including the likes of Patinack and overseas money?
How many yearlings will realise a mill or more?
Will there be a lot of disgruntled breeders who will be lucky to make a profit on such an expensive service fee outlays?
I keep thinking that yearling prices must come down every year to find the opposite.

I will be watching on the couch but if any villagers are going to be up here for the sale I might be persuaded to get off my big fat lazy arse and actaully do some socialising and networking Wink.

So how about it?

The Irish buyer obviously had like thoughts. She'll probably be better suited to their training there too. I'd love to follow her career from the Fairy King/Sadlers angle. I suppose the opposite hemishere foalings suffer the 6mths ageing problem either way
