Pretty annoyed with sportsbet ATM as i placed a win bet on Catchy sat week ago and a message came up, we are experiencing difficulties and your bet has not been placed. I tried again and got the same message as a pop up on my iphone. My account was not debited then the race jumped and the money was removed from my account. Put in a complaint email and the response was because you tried to place the bet that was intent to bet so the bet stands even though i got the message the bet was not placed. The email stated many customers had the same complaint and some had placed multiple bets on horses after getting the message.
poor service. I dont mind loosing but fairs fair. Grubby.

Yes they are struggling with this upgrade - problems on & off at least 3 weeks now. I had 3 bets ($140 in total) race to race a few Saturdays back & only realised an hour later that the bets actually went on (no bet confirmation at time). Couldn't get through to complain as I assume many others where doing same. I can understand in this day & age that technical glitches can occur - my question is why they persevered letting customers bet when they had no idea if they were on or not. They should have just shut the site down until they got it sorted. As a general comment they are usually pretty good in the customer service/compensation area - let themselves down this time imo

I had issues with the fold the 2 previous Saturday’s.
One was $200, the other $300.

On both occasions they refunded the bet without hesitation.
My only grumble, was I had to do it several hours after the event, because they were inundated with complaints.

I received an email apologising and a $20 bonus bet as a goodwill gesture.

I give their response an A+

I don't like Sportsbet app either, I used to play there, but they have started riping peoples off now.  Always a technical issue. If you win your bet gets voided and if you lose all good. I suggest using another sportsbook, especially if you are going to use the mobile app. Here I found a list with great betting apps https://www.topsportbettingsites.com/apps/

Not so much an app glitch, more of a punters beware @ Sportsbet:
1. Friday night multi at the Valley with the winner of the last race. Sportsbet pay out, and then there is a protest. I think all is ok because of the well publicised Sportsbbet protest payout. Wake up Saturday morning and the "winnings are gone". Yes buried in the T's and C's the protest payout does not apply to multi bets.
2. Yesterday the first 5 legs of my multi win, with two to go. Rhino does the maths and realises the first 5 legs would pay $12,500, and with XMAS around the corner, thinks Cash Out. I notice there is no cash out function on the Sportsbet app. So a mate says you need to call Sportsbet to get a CO figure. I ring them and yep, Sportsbet do not offer a CO service on racing.
Of course leg six runs and Sprit Ridge hits the front at the 100 only to be run down by Kiwran's Lane. Game over, as are my punting days with this mob. Ladbrokes and TAB offer this service, so new account time.

Sounds like you just didn’t read the terms properly. No shame, most don’t.

Good question Djebel. Perhaps others can help. The info in their T's and C's is a little unclear. Says cash out options on "selected" racing.

No EandE, did not read them at all. Hence the post being a "beware". If taking multi's in the future, I will look for a provider that suits my needs.

The TAB suspended quaddie cash out after a series of payout errors early in the year. They thought they had fixed it but it recurred. Since then they have permanently suspended early cash out on quaddies. There is a banner on their racing page.

As corporates mostly use TAB divs for quaddies it may have stuffed them.
