I suppose I am a little bias ,but , I reckon they will be pretty good . First cab off the rank and only runner for this year will be Mossfun , A Mossman horse ,from Eye for Fun , had first trial 26th nov and came last of 5 but going by best bets black booker had plenty to give so load up for the golden slipper , sky is the limit ! or load up first start .

Well the first cab off the rank got up on the 14/12/2013 (Mossfun).
I did see your post about your Snitzel mare 'Parmigiana' and I believe someone actually suggested Mossman as a possible sire for her, as well as his Group winning son 'Love Conquers All'.

I think you may need to get in contact with Eliza Park QLD this year to discuss a service fee for 'Love Conquers All'. Big smile I think he would be a perfect outcross for your mare after her year off.

The mare had her fair share of natural speed so , I am more of the opinion to look to stamina. Would Mossman or Love Conquers All provide this, as dosage over 1600m I think { I could be way wrong },be more true to the family 24 side of things which I would like to preserve as I am a huge fan of the Cummings and Hains dynasties , or maybe sex balance this side, say with Written Tycoon , via bogan Road. Got a while , will depend on how the year progresses financially for me as transport costs from up here is quite a large part of my situation amongst other factors . A sire with 2 or more crosses of Uganda would also be nice looking at Tulloch"s pedigree .

No, unfortunately its not free.

I saw a few names in the five generation page that encouraged me to look at the 7 generations.

Looks like a Bloodhound pedigree Djebel. I go there also but usually use the 5 generation free unless working.

Why its a good site to get what we want in a pedigree site. Easy to understand and work around. Some of them are just hard to negotiate.

Thought so, I get my 5 gen freebees there too ,but I do like to go back now to the 1880s or so, so it takes ages on studbook, if I had Say 20 mares , yes definitely worth the cost, and is very easy format to navigate as you say Djebel.

Bit of an update , First yearling, by Jujitzel, to test the market at MM sale , produced an $85000 sale , to Duporth. Nice enough type , Anyone know about the purchaser, Ellerslie lodge .

Mossfun wins again , in a quicker time than the male division race , last year's slipper winner Overreach won the Widden, so a good race to win in the build up to the slipper . I reckon after watching the replay a couple of times she is still quite green , jockey changed the whip in the straight , did note that she ran around a bit. Anyones thoughts on that? Snitzel keeps his unblemished record as a broodmare sire . Snitzel does seem to pick up Speak John with good success ,I probably won't find another well priced broody by him now .

Interestingly Goldey the last two pedigrees you've highlighted Duporth X Jujitzel and Mossfun Mossman X Eye for Fun both have Speak John but it also be argued they are a result of a Snippets X Success Express mating .
This is the same mating in reverse that produced Shamus Award ,the cox plate winner . If I had a Success Express mare and Snitzel was more affordable ... I think its a good cross . Also one of Not a Single Doubt's best progeny in Squamosa is a Success Express cross back to the Snippets family .

Makes you wonder if any Mare by Success Express lines have gone to Hinchinbrook, really good case in point though, as I have been looking into NASD as a further nicking tool for my mare, I was aware of Shamus Awards ped but not Squamosa's, I have just been looking a recent winners of NASD.I see there is 2 or 3 more to test the market in upcoming sales ,oneSyd Easter sale by Magic Albert, a half to Mossfun one in Melb sale by Manhattan Rain from Milanesa .

Whatever happened to outbreeding for stayers (which your family is). NASD would be 2 x 3 to Redoute's.

If you want Success Express (who has Nijinsky who performs with the Redoute's line well) why not just use Mossman.

Not in the slightest interested in breeding to NASD Furious, was just looking into what mares work with him as he a close cross to Snitzel , Mossman is certainly right in the picture at the moment , just was looking into what clicks the best , Mossman certainly has his share of family 1 blood , so any diverse lines of it gets me going .

Go to the top of the class , Songline ,certainly you were on the money in regard to what works with Snitzel . Lilly our foal is a pretty nice looking girl , so maybe a son of Testa Rossa or Testa Rossa himself, or LCA. Mossman on type doesn't suit her as she would more than likely produce an out of proportion offspring , ie too long in the barrel . Even with a relatively short coupled stallion like Furio , Lilly has her mothers length of barrel. People may laugh at me but I have a feeling Wicked Style might produce some good 3yo 1600 to 2000m progeny next year, but , alas , he is not commercial unfortunately. Being acutely aware of the type issue , Ie when it comes down to it people do buy on type more than anything they don't sell if they look like busted crabs .Would love to go to Testa Rossa as he looks perfect on type for her and the far reaching line breeding is quite nice also , Obviously With Coupe being the closest stakes winner , Nureyev has appeal also , Reset or Rebel Raider possibly for her bottom line , not sure of the commercial viability of either of those two in 3 years time spotting a hidden gem is a difficult thing to do .

Interesting to see a Mossman win the NZ Oaks. Yours is a staying family and Mossman has shown he can deliver on that front now.

I agree furious its a good paper match , but Mossman has a very limited book now and I'd be surprised if its not closed already . Interestingly Miss Mossman is out of the 13-a female line which is the Gleam line .

Yes that 13-a 13-b & 13-c line just keeps on winning every weekend in Oz and NZ. Another one was Valentia in Sydney.

Getting tempted , mind you I'm not a sheep so am looking to a couple of sires LCA is one, Mossman for obvious reasons , Strategic is very in the mix also , had a little on Mossfun back in Dec ,so weighing up the options , LCA could be the next IAI or a flop , I think the outcross 5 gens would be the way to go or close to it . Tell me what you think of Strategic, Songline ,as I really like the more distant crosses . Fancy the first Snitzel broodmare ever to run ,winning the slipper , bet you that will never happen again .Still in shock !
