I syndicated amongst friends my Bullbars gelding Blue Breeze as a spring 2yo, first foal out of Peony Rose by St Reims. He was small, being a November foal and started racing at 4yo last October. He's banked $41,650 in his first racing prep proving that if you pick off the big special conditions and r65, r75 races you can go ok over here. http://www.pedigreequery.com/blue+breeze6

Paul Moroney urged me to send my mares to Showcasing and this guy Redzone, the 2yo gelded half bro to Blue Creeze is the best of them. I had given Peony a year off because she was late with her first foal, and this guy was born in October 2 years later and is a much chunkier speedier type who will run from 1200m to 2000m. http://www.pedigreequery.com/redzone

Like Blue Breeze he has a sex balanced cross of Sir Ivor in his 5th generation; and on top he also has 3 sex balanced lines of Lyphard which is the magic formula for Showcasing stakes performers, they have to have the Lyphard and the Sir Ivor.

Blue Breeze's toughness comes from Pihanga's sire Vialli, Gr1 winner at 2,000m, placed at Gr1 in 4 countries incl Germany and HK, 3rd in a Cox Plate, 10th in a Melbourne Cup. As far as I know I am the only person in the world breeding from a family with Vialli blood. His colts were too tough to be trained, Pihanga was tough but smart too, and his first winner, he died after only 2 crops.

I've just sold a 10% share in Redzone for NZ$7,500 (named after the NFL show) to a drinking mate from Dida's, our local wine bar, and am interested in selling 4 more shares only. Its only NZ$300 a month for training, there are no secret fees or backhanders, you pay what I pay. He's been gelded and broken in at Highview, where Bullbars stands. He will be trained by Blue Breeze's trainer and will race later this year as a 3yo. He's worth plenty into Singapore after he wins a race here, so we can take a profit, and race part of him up there for free.
Blue Breeze, Bullbars' grandson of Pihanga goes round in r6, gr3 WFA 2000m Ellerslie, better than 80/1 - no he wasn't, Good 3 too hard, elevated temp & pulse, not as sick as Cliff, but close

Yes, I met Alan when he was hoeing my horses at an agistment far near Byerley.

He has a background in eventing, he has a devoted client base as a blacksmith, and was associated with NG Atkins and his good 2 miler Secured Deposit.

We have had an interesting couple of years and have now developed a good working relationship.

He has a licence that allows him to train up to 6 horses. My owners in Blue Breeze and I like to get involved in planning the campaign strategy and the race day tactics. This extends the involvement and enjoyment for us, and balances our decades of punting knowledge and form analysis with Alan's horsemanship.

far should be farm

We thought we might need to spell Blue Breeze but he raced around like a clown on Sunday and did 3 laps of the grassy paddock he gets after a race before he would let Alan catch him. He was bucking and kicking yesterday, a day he'd usually get off after a race, so Alan had to give him a couple of laps to settle him down. We will line up in a $40k open 2200m at Pukekohe April 21 and keep the weight off his back and find out how far off open class he is. There are quite a few of the usual suspects incl Lovelight lining up at Te rapa this saturday looking for wet, the best are at hastings for the gold cup.
Next week the good 3yo's will be in the gr2 2100m so it could end up being quite a soft field.

thanks for the pedigree DJ

Better Comment won the flight stakes when it was gr.2, she has left quite a few good ones at every generation across here, oz, HK and SA, she was bred by Ra Ora stud ( the NZ one) and sold to nelson bunker hunt who set up Waikato Stud. Dahar and Vialli both stood there, and my friend paul who he also bred http://www.pedigreequery.com/my+friend+paul

Stenorette left dancefloor doll who was 4th vrc oaks, reinette left 9 winners including one which was a rock star who was wrecked in Asia, and was a half to JBC's Full and By gr1 winner and sire, and Makepeace who left gr1 Mon Mekki

Pihanga was small and needed St Reims to put size and some sir ivor blood into the family.

I think the female blood that Bullbars dam Accessories brings as dam of gr1 winner hemet, epaulette and gr1 4th pearls is pure quality

One thing Sir P Hogan taught me was look at the dam side of the stallion you are going to , and my choices for expanding the good work of sir wool fisher and nelson bunker hunt have been

st reims because he has a female line of northern dancer, fanfreluche, who appears in many great families, and he was a full bro to gr1 champagne who gave her melbourne cup to jezabeel, its the family of bonneval

and accessories discussed above, and showcasing whose dam's family includes 3rd top filly prophecy, sire comacho, good aussie gr1 horse foreteller and very good nz filly fix
