Must be hard for you stooges and trolls to accept that this Saturday will be a complete annihilation. I have never liked Shorten but have never voted for anything right of centre. Will not be voting for Bill but he has out-performed Scomo at every step.

People are seeing straight through the pretense of a governing group that the LNP are trying to portray themselves as. Liberal and National voters are fed up with the reliance on coal and will not be voting for them. Doesn't necessarily mean they will vote Labor or Greens but they may and others will vote for independents who take renewables seriously. The 2 things that I have heard from the public and this is coming from many lifetime Liberal and National voters are that Scomo taking coal into parliament was a total disgrace to our country and the money paid for 'flood water' that ended up in a Caymans bank account while farmers are desperate and suicidal is unforgivable.

Will be the lowest Liberal primary vote for decades and they can only hope for preferences from lying Palmer or ignorant twat Pauline. Labor may even not have to rely on cross parties in the Senate as the Greens look like getting extra spots and together they may form a majority.

You guys and all the dinosaurs like Alan Jones, KAK, Bolt, Kenny,Devine etc better prepare for the end of the world as you know it!

For the rest of us we will have to put up with 3 years of whinging and moaning from all of you about how bad shorten and labor are etc etc...

Bill's lies just go through to the 'keeper, no scrutiny from the mainstream media - they are just embarrassing themselves.

How tf does he get to here refusing to answer "How Much?" over 100 times?

The 20% undecided are not dopes ... they will get it right come Saturday.

When ScoMo claims his victory - without the popular vote - he will cement himself as a legend of the party.

Bill stands for nothing, and is a puppet with multiple hands up him.

ScoMo is the leader we need ... cometh the moment ...Clap
In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!

doc - normally legends of politics are inspirational nation changing leaders who have a clear vision for the future. Scott Morrison can't see past today. He is thick, boring and has weaseled his way through life. Talented people in the party have walked.
Australia has no hope of achieving greatness with him leading the country
Vote 1 Bill - make australia great again

Oh Doc, that’s silly beyond description.
By all means criticise Shortern for the perceived damage you think his policies will do to the economy.
But to suggest,he has no policies, and stands for nothing, is either a bald faced lie or a comically poor understanding of the issues.

Interesting that you think winning an election without the popular vote grants him legend status.

And speaking of standing for nothing, what does Scomo believe in,besides what’s good for him?
His whole platform is he’s not ALP, he is a policy free zone.
He has no ideas, but he does have a massive cap collection!

Shorten and his crew of socialists they might heed the advice of Winston Churchill ..

So many people are absorbent non-discriminatory sponges and believe anything they hear in the echo chamber.

There is NO Retiree tax, there is NO property tax.

Get over it and think for yourself.

Otherwise book your ticket and leave because LNP will be annihilated. The best news is that Alan Jones has said he will retire if Labor wins!

On what basis can you claim that Labor would tax itself into prosperity?

ps the above quote is down to someone who was ever a conspicuous failure in peacetime politics/government.

To be fair Shorten/Bowen's costings put out very early by electoral standards last week did set an upper limit of revenue(tax) of GDP no higher than the Howard/Costello levels that were the highest in our history. The Abbott, Turnbull and Morrison govts were the 2nd 3rd and 4th highest.

It isn't the revenue level though, but who will pay it. Rupert is understandably very upset at that.

Hate Shorten's class warfare. Strange considering the circles he moves in but catering to his support base I guess

And i don't believe Alan Jones will retire, was not a core promise LOL

I really wish I could join in the general optimism of a Labor victory but I’m afraid I have a really nasty feeling about this election. It’s a fascinating one for sure and I think just like Trump being elected the national opinions polls are useless this time. I don’t think there is going to be a uniform swing across the country against the Government. The swing will be huge in some areas but not in others. For example my electorate of Macquarie went Labor last time but I think there’s a good chance it will go back to Liberal. They’re being smarter than Labor , focusing on the Hawkesbury part of the electorate and promising Federal funds for things that matter here eg third river crossing. Our neighbouring seat of Lindsay is in the same boat and also could go back to the Libs. NSW and Queensland might just save the government.

I have similar feelings Baguette..... hard to grasp the one sided betting markets being right .       . I feel it is not that "cut & dried".

Interesting to say the least ... Now to accept the peoples numbers.

Hope your on the money Baguette - although think it’s going to be a landslide. When you have blokes like Rusty voting for the ALP for the first time the writing is on the wall.

Your right there Macca. It’s impossible to predict with any confidence. It could be a Labor landslide, and I hope it is, but the Government holding on is a real possibility.

You may enjoy this podcast Baguette. About the phenomenon of anti-politics and the politics of small parties talking to a political scientist Elizabeth Humphrys and William Bowe(aka the Poll Bludger). Towards the end they talk about just this aspect...a not uniform result and reasons they see for it.

The problem is PT people don’t like Shorten and Labor have NEVER been elected to Government unless they have a popular leader. Gough Hawke even Kevin 07 . I’m very concerned that the voters who are totally fed up with the government are going to come back when push comes to shove. Really hope I’m wrong.

Churchill was one of the founders of the welfare state in Britain. He increased the progressivity of the tax scale. He did not like the idle rich and unearned accumulated assets so was a big fan of death duties.
