For their 1,236,942 votes the Greens got one seat in the house of Reps. The two party preferred vote show the Coalition gets more votes than the ALP, the only opposition party of ever hoping to attain government. Forget the loony Greens

Why would they formalize it? So they can have all the fun the Libs have with Barnaby or Manilla George?

Labor knows they own Green votes and dont need to quota them positions.

Oh that's right your mob dont believe in quotas, do you? Embarrassed

Labor and Greens preference each other and contest the same seats.

Libs and Nationals dont compete in each other's seats so Nats win their seats and Libs win theirs.

A rogue faction of Greens in NSW decided to break the arrangement in 2016 and challenged Albo and a couple of other Labor inner West seats in Sydney preferencing with Libs. They failed and the National Greens purged them from the party. it didn't happen this election.

A lot of Green voters are former Liberals - inner city Doctor's wives and their equally brain washed kids who are all in therapy now.Wacko

The middle city rings - hard working aspirational Aussies who voted for Hawke and Keating - have turned Blue ... Black and Blue in the Shire!Wink

Labor is the Biggest Loser, and it won't be changing under "Albo" Beer.

If Labor wanted to shrink the Greens they would have gone towards the center. Electing Albo from the NSW left faction indicates they are generally happy with the Greens and dont plan any radical changes. .

Me too. It will go to recount more than likely

Yes Shrunk, we should abandon preference voting, it's not fair, should be all on primary vote.

The Government would hold 89 seats in that case.

Postal votes normally fall to the Liberals ... or the standing member ... that didn't help.

Thanks PT. Yes it will definitely be a recount. I THINK it will go back to Liberal after changing to Labor last election. This should never ever have happened. Just another indication of how idiotic the Labor campaign was.

This was yesterday:

Liberals won the first batch of absentee ballots in Macquarie 221-239. Lead now out to 196 votes.

Today it shrunk to 148.

That is interesting ... Speers is a leftie, but he's fair ... he does those leader's forums better than anyone.

He will either make the show watchable, or shed his fake impartiality so that the other kids don't bully him ... are there any more changes PT?

Chris Bowen even posted a photo of key party figures as if they were already in government - himself, Tanya Plibersek, Bill Shorten, Jim Chalmers, and Penny Wong

... I don't think he was even invited to the "VICTORY PARTY" last Friday, was he?LOL

Free beers, fancy cocktails and a lavish slap-up dinner: Inside Labor's PRE-election party as they toasted victory... only to suffer a humiliating defeat in election stunner

  • Labor was so sure it would win the election the party HQ threw a huge party
  • Staffers dined on prawns, barramundi, and kafa in Sydney on Friday night
  • Free beer and cocktails then flowed at a nearby bar as they sang victory songs
  • Just a day later they were all shocked when Coalition pulled off a stunning win
Then they stumbled 500m down the road to cocktail bar Alex & Co for kick-ons where they sipped salted caramel espresso martinis and toasted certain victory

They celebrated late into the night drinking salted caramel espresso martinis and singing Solidarity Forever with one staffer even hired to play trumpet

Your on the attack early PT ... I know you still have Kevin Rudd as PM but leave the highly skilled , unbiased team of Sky alone .

We have to rely on them being impartial for balance.

Nah Horlicks .... Sky have quite a few labor people regulars .

As Murray says , it is an opinion station and he makes his leaning to the right quite obvious.
Nilolas Reece and others push the Labor barrow ...

I must say , of all areas , SKY was the only area where the final result was regarded as a Close contest ... How right they were.

Sacked for being a serious journalist? The only one on the Sky premises as far as I can tell.
