His talent as a racehorse has to ensure he gets a better than even chance at stud.

Naturalism was a virtual failure, some might scoff at the idea of virtual failure Cry

I guess a starting fee under $10.000 is where he will start.

Definitely deserves a chance djebel. If only as a danehill or zabeel outcross. Should do well with both types of broodmares especially zabeel lines. Just don't send them to mcevoy.

DiEM25 for the world.

I am certain he is intended to stand at stud eventually, but the ANZ news article I read today says he needs 12 months off to recover with the intention to race afterwards.  He certainly needs at least a Group win to have much commercial chance at stud.  Sad because he had multiple Group 1 winner written all over him.

Let's hope his 2nd come back pays off.  He is exciting to watch.  What a shame his owners couldn't take D Oliver to court for lost stud earnings.

We have all seen he group 1 ability.

He has shown he has more ability than Sir Tristram and I Am Invincible.

True, Djebel

He was a very good two year old and an incredibly promising 3YO.  Let's hope his future stud master does not have to give away for free any of his first crop to decent trainers! - Referring of course to the start of Sir Tristram's career.

The word "droll" for whatever reason somehow surfaces in my mind.

Apparently he’s back on work with John Hawkes at Caulfield.

Great news!

On Sunday I was given his half sister by Bel Esprit - Diva La Belle.  Needless to say, given that she was a gift, she has been an unlucky broodmare.  I had to put down earlier this year her Holy Roman Emperor filly who was a marvellous filly despite major injuries - none of them her fault.  Very athletic (for an effectively three legged filly) and a great temperament which is why she lasted as long as she did.

The last thing I need in this drought is another broodmare, but I loved and admired Molly (the filly above) and have faith in the lines.  Also, Diva was a winner of 2x races and placed in Brisbane.

So I REALLY hope Royal Symphony comes good, for a whole pile of reasons.

Thanks.

She is one of the two to three mares I am sending out in this drought year.

However, given that she missed to Domesday last year and the fact that drought years normally means lowered fertility, she will be going to a younger stallion this year.
