I'm from QLD and obviously want Racing Queensland to up their game.. but what is their to take note of for RQ from this announcement? Just magically come up with another 50 million a year for prizemoney? Racing Queensland needs to take note of how Vlandy's has dealt with vision rights, takeout rates, and in the future getting a large (or all) of the new POC to boost prizemoney.

NSW govt coffers are overflowing due to the housing boom and sales of public assets (20,000+ properties alone). That's probably the main reason why parity was agreed to.

Obviously the increases to prize money down to tenth to encourage new people into ownership especially in country areas is a start. |

Both Racing NSW and Racing Victoria have simply been riding high on the back of the Sydney and Melbourne housing bubbles the last few years We won't find out how good a job the administrators in Racing NSW and Racing Victoria have been doing until these housing bubbles implode and a zero is knocked off the price of every Snitzel yearling As far as QLD keeping up with NSW or Victoria I would not worry if I were a QLDer. When these housing bubbles implode it will be epic and NSW and Victoria will fall back to where QLD is now
