Head on the chopping block time for me Wink His front feet are now at a dreadful angle with very obvious under slung heels which will imo, limit his chance of improving on what he showed with Ken. Nothing to lose, only egg on my face if he excels LOL
Wisdom has been chasing me but I've always outrun it!

Because he has proven himself, he gets the benefit of the doubt.

You mentioned Miracles of Life yourself.

Similar reasoning as to why he should have been given the horse after the Caulfield Guineas.

I'll be surprised if Snowden does not get the horse back to his best.

Doubt his best is good enough in open company. Those that were finishing alongside him and close up in behind him two springs ago when he was actually winning have done very little from that point on.

Wandjina about the only exception.

Group 2 winner
Group 3 winner
Listed winner
2nd Caulfield Guineas
2nd Group 3

Can he really add much to his value without group 1 performances?

What you want him to go 1st up in a G1?

No i'm getting at that the horse has a ton of critics, and they probably won't accept anything then a group 1 win to give him any credit.

A few critics of the horse, but many people, like myself, had no faith in the trainer.

I'd love to see the horse succeed and win a G1. I think he's well up to it.

Yes I definitely think they should go to one of the weaker group 1s 1st up. Oakleigh Plate would suit the horse

I know the form didn't work out, but his Guineas Prelude was still one of the Shocked wins of my short time in racing.

Great call too.

Who is the jock booked?

There don't seem to be many putting their hand up to take the ride.

McEvoy. Not a bad choice on a front runner.

Backing him is a leap of faith and trusting Snowden. Didn't touch the horse last prep but could dive in here just based on the Snowden magic.

The choice of jockey is irrelevant imo.

Either he's back or not, if it's the former he wins and if not he don't.

They would be off to a great start if they can get him to the barriers without falling to pieces.

So anchor dropping on leaders is irrelevant? OK.

While they're good horses, I think the field he meets gives him every chance, majority are non-winners at this point of their careers.

I thought he might need the run. Although he has always run fairly well first up, in his breakout prep as a 3yo he improved a LOT at his 2nd and 3rd runs.
