Absolutely, I have no issues about what people do in the privacy of their own lives, and cannot see why idiots make sport of what is such a non issue these days. Sally nor anyone should have to defend a position of tolerance

Some of these people have very little of importance in life to devote their time to if they feel the need to comment on a footy player giving his team mate a peck.
Why dont they devote their time and effort to some really important things in life.
I actually saw that peck on the cheek and thought to myself , I bet some misery guts will be on the rampage about it before the day is out.  Sure enough.
I cant see why its an issue in the first place, and if others didnt jump in feet and all and ramp it all up, no one would even give it a second thought.

How much time do you think is being "devoted" OR, does one need to make a comment for or against a subject ?

Personally I have no issue what so ever with Goulds comments.

The banter in our meal room at work suggests to me that we are a very tolerant society when it comes to sexuality.

I hope they don't make a habit of a big pasho every time they score.

When playing the horizontal sport the pasho usually comes before someone scores.

This modern trend of role reversal has me confused .

Like the days of the bushrangers , they , either mucked em , plucked em , or em.     . We are heading that way again.

I have no issue with Gould,s remarks either.  Its the ones who find his remarks sexist and offensive and need to make a song and dance about it that I am referring to.

It must be frightening if you are a union member, and someone like Sally Mc Man Ass, who has lived her life in a vacuum, with such narrow terms of reference, lacks any sense of real world experience, and is clearly biased against anything remotely supported by the rest of "MAN"kind, is in charge of your movement!?Geek

Political Correctness gone mad once again ... angry, ugly, vicious, vindictive, intolerant Marxists like her and her "bosom(less) buddy" Roz Ward are simply not representative of the human population.

We appear to be in a cycle where everyone in Sydney can't keep up with the cost of homes for one.  Then if they do have a home - which was probably at the top end they have little left over to live on.  Now we are also in a cycle of stagnant wage growth.  No matter which way you look at it the fact that the politicians have just gained another wage rise when my children and myself are constantly going backwards.  I've had one pay rise in about 20 years.  Some of that is because I have to speak for myself and have no self confidence and don't want to drive the business to the wall so I can't blame anyone else but myself for this state of affairs.  But in those 20 years costs haven't stood still.  Now we can still live reasonably well - as the house is paid off.  But the young ones don't have this to fall back on.  They rely on things like Sunday extra pay to make ends meet or we help them out when a big bill comes in.  And they are sensible and don't have things on a credit card!

So many people are just living on credit to make ends meet and will be worst of in the long run.

So while I don't agree with alot of the left I do see why they exist.  The unions are not all maxists or communists.  Some people vote labour because they think that the right needs to be pulled in as more and more the bosses or shareholders earn more and get more than their fair share while the workers are ignored.  Money is important for all to live.  Yes you do have to look after you workers.  Blimmy I would think that would be top of the list for a company hoping to stay ahead of the pack.

Just over a century ago unions weren't allowed in Britain.  Although they were needed and really changed the foundations for the worker.  Sure things are not that bad but we still get companies willing to cut edges, take cheap cladding or other building materials, dumping of abestos etc.  We get politicians ignoring areas of the public they just don't want to rub shoulders with.  We get white collar crime and children of top officials who seem to think they above any law.

So the left goes on ranting because so many of the right seem to think that is exactly their place in life.  Well and truly above the masses who actually want and deserve to be heard.

Furious. >   I read your straight from the shoulder post with a lot of feeling.
You mention Sydney where you are a home owner.
Are you allowing for the 4/5/6 hundred a week in capital gain you are accumulating & thought of using some of that collateral to assist reliable children to get into Home ownership somewhere.
Nothing that doesn't appreciate should be considered on credit.
I think we all lost a house to finance companies while maturing.
You appear to be in a good position actually ,   one rise in 20 years seems a harsh place of employment.
Sydney , Melbourne are the hotspots & will continue to be but the rest of Australia is ordinary.
Inner Brisbane will thrive but that 10K radius to the CBD is very important wherever.

Not within 10K or CBD maccamax but that doesn't mean house aren't selling for over a million dollars.  My industry is hanging on by the skin of it's teeth so you don't want to rock the boat.  Three of six children have a home or unit.  The other three we don't have the money to help - not at the rates of todays prices.  Its two of the three we have to help - the other is on the higher end of pay figures so we don't worry about her so much - although she and her husband do work themselves into the ground sometime which is worry.

Sure when I sell this or die and it sells it will be split six ways.  It is not in the million dollar range as quite a small house backing onto the expressway which also would push the price down - one the reasons we could get it.

Maccamax there are people far worst off than my family but one child (like myself) has to bill her company so no sick leave, super or tax paid from them and I know how troublesome that can be to balance the books.  I've very little super saved - but that is my fault again.  The trouble is - unlike my company who always pay straight away - she has trouble getting her pay.  Sometimes being owed as much as $4,500 so she can't get her own place.  Sometimes her bank account gets down to less than $10 and she really has to beg to get paid!

By no means is she alone.  The other girl's partner is picky so I don't think they'll ever overcome that!  They are in a nice rented unit though so they aren't too worried.  While the boy is unemployed with only a couple of hundred earned every now and again from making things for people.  He's quite intelligent and talented but no self esteem.  He hides out in his room.  No life for a young person and I have lots of sleepless nights wondering how to get him a job.  He got a call back a couple of months ago and was so excited.  But that was that.  So back to no one wants me and depression.  He refuses to go to centerlink.  Lives off money he earned from a earlier job which didn't work out when he developed bursitus in a shoulder!  But that has to be mostly gone so yes I'm at wits end.

As are plenty of other people.  I don't want money I don't earn.  i don't want to be rich.  I would like all the family employed and able to look after themselves.  There are many who aren't run of the mill but get left behind due to many reasons.  The right don't even know they exist.
