Beautifully bred and looks to have inherited the ability of his parents.

Nice debut win in the second at Ipswich. Plenty more to come for this boy!

What gives with all these Montoya horses now. Are they related?

Just checked out his pedigree, wow his mum is ISOLDA, who won the 1994 AJC Champagne Stks and was placed in the 1995 AJC Oaks.

So she was 22 years old when RANCHO MONTOYA was foaled!

Nice to see SIR TRISTRAM so close in 2yo pedigree in 2017.

He's accepted for the first race at Doomben on Saturday stepping up to 1350m. Looking forward to see how he progresses and whether they bring him down to Victoria for the Spring.

The fact he lost constitutes disappointing, He looked a very hard ride for Fradd off and on the bridle virtually the whole trip.

He didn't get the best of runs but still had every chance. Only his second start so will improve with the run but will need to.

First time backing this horse tomorrow

And I know Ive made the move way to early on this colt placing most of my bets Wednesday night locking in the $3.30 was out to $3.70 fixed but I like these High Chaps with ability once they reach the 1600m

Looked a bit lost on the bend last start but once he balanced up thought he found the line well drops 2.5kg and gets a good draw

Think he will go very close tomorrow

Set to run over 1600m in Race 1 at Caloundra tomorrow.

Hopefully wins well and comes down to Vic for some of the 3yo staying races.

I hate it when I take the booster and the horse drifts to a longer price than I got with the boost.

Let's hope he can do the job.

When he eventually gets to a staying trip he will be the one paced conveyance we saw today.

His jockey did not seem real strong on him mind you.

Been racing since July and is still at a mile. Australian trainers are the real issue with our poor stamina issues not the breeders.

Set to go 2nd up over 1600m at Doomben on Saturday.

Floundered on the Heavy 10 when 1st up, so hopefully he doesn’t strike anything worse than a Soft 6 this weekend.

Entered for the AJC Derby, so he’ll want to be winning up in Brissie to justify a trip south.

Rancho Montoya has found himself a Good 4 track today at Caloundra (Race 11) that was transferred from Friday night.

I’ll have a small wager on him to knock off the odds on fave.

I guess they will be gelding him now.

Again I say it, Australian trainers generally speaking are terrible.
