Some time ago, I was telling a friend about how much fun I was having taking a Quaddie every Saturday morning for the price of a coffee. I'd take usually a couple of horses in each leg, or go one out and then stack another leg. Then set the bet amount to $5 and hope for the best. Didn't win too often but occasionally I got close. In 2017, the Herald Sun gave away coupons for a free $5 TAB quaddie bet. So, do you want to try this? The rules: Take any combinations, ie; 2 in each leg, or 4 or 6 in each leg... or change it up. You must spend a maximum of $5 only! So, flexi-betting is the way to go. The person who wins the most from his/her quaddie is the winner! Further information: Note; the more horses you select, the less you will win because of the number of possible combinations you need to include in your flexi-bet. If you use the Quaddie section of your favourite betting company, you can test the Flexi percentage that you win. For example, 2 horses in each leg is 16 combinations and 31.25% of the win dividend. However, if you add another 2 horses in the second leg for example, you now have 32 combinations and only 15.62% of the dividend. To help us, please state the final percentage of the win dividend for your bet. The percentage is calculated by dividing the $5 by the number of combinations. For example, 2 horses in each leg: $5/16 *100 = 31.25% The number of combinations is found by multiplying the number of horses in each leg. For example, for a quaddie with 4 horses in the first leg, 2 in the second, 5 in the third and 8 in the final leg, there are 4*2*5*8 = 320 possible winning combinations. This would lead to only 1.56% of the win dividend. Entry format For two horses in each leg, your entry would look something like this: (3,5) - (4,9) - (2,14) - (4,18): 31.25% Published article This was published on Villagebet.com.au as a full article.
