Why has Perth got 11 races on and why are they starting so early ?

They had a washed out meeting a few days ago, maybe to cater for some of those intended runners Confused
They don't have lights & it's mid winter.

On first look there looked to be very little vigour shown late from J Mac aboard Versetto. Arguably cost his horse 3rd. I doubt anything will come of it though.

We must have been watching a different race

Clearly we must have been.

I'll take back what l said.

100% he cost his horse 3rd. He barely moved a muscle on it over the concluding stages. Please, give us a break.

Not talking through my pocket either. I haven't had a bet today and don't plan to.

That was a half hearted effort at absolute best.

It's all opinion though. That's what makes our game great. Everyone usually has a different opinion on a range of topics.

It is what it is. As l said, l doubt anything will come of it. Stewards don't normally agree with my personal views on rides.

I have serious concerns for your vision. Because that is a bit of a stretch of the imagination.

That's fair enough PoP. It's all opinion. Maybe you're right, maybe l have no idea. Although l must say, my impaired vision has served me well considering l've never had to work a day in my life thanks to it. And l never plan to. I always thought l had a trained eye for horses but now after reading your comments today maybe l don't. If only l possessed perfect vision!

Any news yet regarding the fall at Grafton? Looked to be 3 or 4 that came down.

Ben Looker has facial cuts,a troubled leg and teeth problems.

Priscilla,Ben's partner, is away from the parade.

Ben took the worst of it.

Priscilla is back on air. (right now)...states....

(Jake Hull back pain....Josh Adams stitches to chin....Priscilla says Benny has a cork in leg, cut to face but will be ok and BEN is more concerned who will ride BELFLYER in the Ramornie, which I backed early today.)

Ben Looker concussion and complaining of sore thigh. Good news however that Priscilla Schmidt (partner) went to him and came back smiling.

Other 2 jockeys (Hull and Adams) OK but mild concussion

Last race Sandown

Seven Year Reward   Tote.

Prometheus at Sandown today was a $5 chance and it was beaten over 12 lengths despite having the run of the race.

I expected a paragraph or two in the Stewards Report detailing why it may have failed. To my surprise there was not a word mentioned on the horse.

So what are they saying? The horse ran up to their expectations?

When a horse is well in the market, and they fail badly, surely it should be mandatory to perform a post race vet examination. l would also expect the stewards to go to extra effort on metro meetings. Obviously this is not the case.

It's hard to bet with confidence when these stewards can't even do their job properly.

Victorian Stewards are proving a woeful embarressment.

They should all be packed off to Singapore.

He was rather kind to the gelding.

Quite an ugly ride really.
