Okay, I do not usually care about politicians or celebrities private lives, but what do we all think of this issue?

My thought is once you prance your family on the campaign trail, and before the media in Canberra, your family is fair game.

I liked Barnaby, before today, but seriously, when you stand in parliament and espouse the reasons you are abstaining from voting for same sex marriage, and one of those reasons is traditional marriage has worked for 2000 years, and all the while you are f#@king a sheila twenty years younger, your honesty, integrity and truthfulness, or lack there of are seen by all.

The way all the Canberra pollies supported him, makes you wonder how many other dalliances are taking place?

So do we think politicians who use their family values and who parade their own families before the cameras, as campaign badges, should then be given privacy in situation like this?

"We know that the best protection for those girls is that they get themselves into a secure relationship with a loving husband," he said, "and I want that to happen for them. I don't want any legislator to take that right away from me."LOL

I am not a fan of bringing people's family into it, but he didn't mind using his daughters as props to make a point during the same sex marriage debate defending their right to have a “secure relationship with a loving husband”.. He didn't really believe that himself and withdrew from the debate when his ''good news'' came His position was political not moral.

I cant remember whether he joined in with his coalition mates in attacking Julia Gillard over her personal life, but they were pretty cruel with her personal life

His daughters are between 15 and 20 years old so not young children

Amazing what a bit of make-up can do ?  Did you see her pictures in today,s papers ?  Dark hair for starters, and yes I know she is preggers, but fat legs in short shorts is not a good look, along with the greasy hair twisted up and a scowl on her face .  Would never pick her for the same woman .

I'm no prude ( as most would know ) BUT,    I don't see this as being acceptable,   given his position.     Just my first thought FWIW.

I only agree with you on Wednesdays PT.

Has to be THE END of him.      . Another to dig his grave with his Willy.

I can't read it any other way,    than the High Office he holds is definately a no no for such a romance to flourish.

He won't be the first or last MP to start eating the " chocolates " , which is breaking a strict diet I would think.

The Publicity over the past few days doesn't read well.

Particularly as this isn't the only one he got pregnant(aborted) and a number are lined up with complaints of sexual assault. I first heard it 3 months ago but there were threats of legal action and nobody was game to say anything.

Andrew Bolt wrote at the time that if these stories was right, Joyce is finished, if it isn't, XXXXXXX is finished for spreading it

It is starting to break now with copies of text messages exchanged with the politician many complained to

I never understand why wives think a marriage is going to stay solid if she stays at home in another town/city/state, and minds the kids and home front, while husband works away for weeks at a time.  Why dont the wives and family re-locate to where their husband,s job is, and live like a family normally does ?   I have seen so many marriages go down the tubes with this scenerio .  Then when it happens the wives cry foul.  Dont they have the nous to work out for themselves when they are apart for weeks at a time, and he is fanning about all over the place , socialising with lots of other women, sooner or later he is going to stray.

Look I started the thread to see what everyone thinks and there are some interesting points.

I have always said I am not adverse to open marriages, as long as what is good for the goose, is good for the gander, and everyone is up front about it.

This issue does not come down to the actual sex. What it comes down to is that Barnaby paraded himself as a family man before the cameras, and the voters, and now we find out what sort of a person he really is.

The response from the "voters " in his seat, shows how naïve they are.

I find that reasoning odd Voyager. You can still believe in traditional family values & yet still have a failed marriage. I'm not sure the point you are trying to make. Are you suggesting every person involved in a failed marriage is some sort of monster ?

Barnaby Joyce Says Traditional Definition Of Marriage Is Union Between A Man And A Woman And His Political Staffer

By  http://www.theshovel.com.au/author/the-shovel/" rel="nofollow - The Shovel  on February 7, 2018
barnaby joyce satire

Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce says marriage is a scared bond between a man and a woman and another women.

Mr Joyce said it was unfortunate Australia had decided to mess with the age-old social institution of marriage being the realm of a husband and his wife and his mistress.

“The whole notion of marriage is to give children a biological mother and a biological father. And a step mother and a half sister,” he told journalists today. “Why we decided to muck around with that pure form of marriage is beyond me.

“In life everyone doesn’t get everything they want. But some of us do”.

In 2015 Mr Joyce warned that our Asian trading partners would see us as ‘decadent’ if same-sex marriage was legalised in Australia.

Both drunk, and it is being reported that that first ''magic moment'' took place in his office on the floor under the Australian flag(patriot to the core) An excess of alcohol was involved in all the cases yet to be made public. And for the record, re my previous post, I am not blaming his wife.  I am saying families living apart is no good for a healthy marriage .  Wives need to realise this, and if husbands get work away from home, and its permament, then pack up and move with him and make a home where he is, if you want to hold the marriage tegether.  Living in seperate places never works.

Why should the wife have to give up her home/job/friends? Maybe the man could quit his job and focus more on a family lifestyle if he has an urge to bang a colleague

It is our business if say for instance a Deputy PM or even a lowly back-bencher is conducting his extra curricular activities at the expense of the taxpayer, by for example keeping multiple households and charging travelling or other expenses to us. Also if as a result of  his behavior he and others cover up and for example move people into much higher paid jobs and pay hush money out of said expenses. Say there might have been multiple instances of this happening, how much is his behavior costing us?

This business has a long way to run yet

They're human beings doing what comes naturally & whilst we mightn't approve of the behaviour, I certainly don't see a need for front page coverage. Media beat up as per usual!

What did Charles Dickens mean when he said it was "The best of times it was the worst of times" ?

We live in an incredible time of knowledge and technology but a dodgy time of quality humanity.

If a Deputy PM who has a highest level security clearance is engaging in nefarious activities that are being covered up, is he open to blackmail by his staff or the Chinese or Russian or any  govt who know about it through their routine intelligence gathering and spying?

Bob Hawke was a bad man, a womaniser and a drunl, and obviously a security risk like Barnaby Joyce.

Anyone else you want called out?

TONY WINDSOR SPREADS FOUL RUMOURS ABOUT BARNABY JOYCE Shocked

Andrew Bolt, Herald Sun

  • If true, Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce is finished. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/barnaby-joyce-battles-vicious-innuendo-as-coalition-fears-citizenship-woe/news-story/40ad0bc3a1a94cfc384d4c48d3e0ef42" rel="nofollow - If false, rival Tony Windsor should be:

EMBATTLED Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce is in the grip of a deeply personal crisis that has now spilled into his public life at the very time he is fighting to save his political career.

The popular Nationals leader, who faces being kicked out of Parliament next week over his dual citizenship, has for months struggled with issues that have affected his marriage of 24 years...

Already, long-term rival Tony Windsor has published a series of provocative social media posts. The posts contain vicious innuendo about Mr Joyce’s personal life.

The private turmoil has spilled over into his office with staff leaving at the height of the situation.

Things certainly look bad for Barnaby Joyce.        > If the Moral Code were to be aired ,     Probably half the Elected members would be out of work .        > We have one of our senior Polly's married to a former Mr big of drugs ( 9 years sentence )   Now the boss of a NSW Government Dept.
That has to be worse than Bonking Barnaby's "slack" behaviour ( pun intended )
