Started in G1 as 3yo so must have had an opinion of him over there.

$17 with TAB.

Could be $2.00 chance, but could also be just going around at first run for over a year. Hard to know with Williams' horses.

Jack Martin up. Has he ridden for them before? Is that a positive or negative?

Beautiful ride that on Goathland. Just rode the fav to win at Sandown so he's going okay.

This gelding really needs to step up to the plate at Sandown tomorrow.

D.Oliver aboard, 2400m, 4th up - should be ready to win.

I dodged a bullet by not backing him last start at Sandown, but I have a gut feeling about him today at Flemington over the 2600m and down in the weights.

I'd expected his stablemate Goathland to be lining up in this race (not sure why he's not here??). Anyhow Lloyd must think that the GrandDuke is a capable enough representative.

His first up run at flemington was a cracker - his next 3 runs at sandown all a bit average so maybe he doesnt like sandown. might be worth a go today

Was well backed yesterday and ran really really well. I would be following up.

Brave run today. Who would have thought he'd put in that kind of performance after being beaten 10 lengths in a midweek 2400m race at Sandown a few starts back.

Jumped the second obstacle awkwardly. Jumped the seventh obstacle awkwardly and knuckled on landing. Granddukeoftuscany sustained a serious racing injury and was humanely euthanased.
