Only starting to look but lot 4 is double Juliet with Sovereign Edition to boot.  If he looks anything he'll probably have to go in.

Gee stormsiren I'm only up to 31.  Mind you working at the same time and looking when I'm waiting for something!

Haha... I skipped ahead with her - had looked through All Too Hard's breeding record and checked to see if she was at the sale. Would like to be that far ahead!!

I'm around the 600 mark but that's just on the initial cull - will have to go back through all of the first shortlist and see if the pedigrees are of any interest!

That said... can't tell if she's a little back at the knee on the off-fore... they've made it tricky with the shadows...

Really furious? The last couple of weeks suggest otherwise....

Really I knocked out a Stratum from the Classic Sale which I originally had put in so I could put in an I am Invincible (which has won but is very weak).  The Stratum was only $9K so very cheap and I decided might have big problems.  2 starts and 2 wins later!

Thanks Dizzy.

As always i will be reserving my selections to Easter.

This Magic Millions sale is too hard to go through.  Too many I like so to hard to knock back to one or two!  I now know why I stuck to the other comps.  Better that they are combined but so many horses!  All shapes and sized.  Some lovely and some weird pedigrees.  Some interesting combinations some just thrown together.  Honestly going through the lot is giving me a major head ache.  And like Beliskner my picks will come in later anyway.

Three first season sires throwing the types I like so far are Dundeel, Sizzling and Spirit of Boom.  After the last few years of First Season Sires not coming up early it will be interesting to see what prices any of the first season sires get.  Some nice types for most of them but some hits and misses also.

I don't have your clear head Storm Siren.  I'm still marking horse after horse which have something interesting going for them!

I've done that every other year Furious! Trying to come up with a formula to narrow it down a lot quicker and hopefully be more precise... will wait and see if any of them are any good.

Did stray on the I Am Invincible - but I think it will be made up for being its in the gold riband or whatever section of the sale with the million dollar slipper bonus...

That's probably right from the 1000+ at the MM I've got about 70 marked to look into.  But to get down to one - thats proving very hard!  Price and sale ring antics will knock alot out.  I know they'll go overs just on pedigree and photo.  But who knows.  They might fail their xrays.

I don't normally go into this price range - even with a hypothetical $1m to spend I tend to look for the cheap ones! But I just love this Written Tycoon colt, Lot 150. I love the stable he's gone to. I love that he's out of a Redoute's mare. I love that he's VOBIS so eligible for all of those extra dollars.

MM Lot 150 Written Tycoon x Lady Bligh colt - $440,000 McEvoy Mitchell Racing.

Yep had it marked but will not be in my stable.  Too hard to get that back.  Even the good ones take a time to get that.

Hmm, have 2 Dundeel's marked from the MM and was willing to go to $650-700k about the Miss Finland know it would be popular, but 900k blows me out of the water!!

Yep marked that - although it wasn't on the original dundeel list. Nice type.    I'm still having to work down to final picks though.

But guys can you keep these till you have a full stable.  It will be easier to sort through instead of one here and one there.  I don't keep the main stable but do a backup for if we miss any.  Easier to cross referrence and this one here and one on page 20 and 25 etc makes it down right difficult.  Just keep a list on a computor yourselves and when you decide your stable is right load it for us all to see.  No mention has been made thatwe can't have doubles so shouldn't be a problem if a few of us match up.  More fun when they come good anway.

Doubles more than welcome as it's less work for those of us who track. But not in the Bargain comp. Which I will open a thread for tomorrow.... first in gets tge pick.

Goldey can you keep a list and post when you have your stable please.  That list should include sire dam lot number (sale) price or reserve is not sold.  That makes Dizzy's and anyone else doing the lists easier.  The above information isn't enough.  So when you sort your stable out it should read

MM100  All American  Hussterics  $160,000

Then she doesn't have to look up all the facts.  Where there are quiet a few of us in the comp it all adds up.

Okay everyone - please post your picks in the threads I have opened for each comp.

Please be aware that there will be no duplicates in the Bargain Comp.

The comps will close 30th June.
